Editor not responding

Been working as a freelance contributor for a news site since Feb. Mostly pretty good, is paying, I just pitch articles every 1-2 weeks, via messages to my editor through Slack. Most get good feedback and go up on the site.

Recently though they have been slower in getting back to me, and have heard nothing back this past week.

Have sent a couple of follow up messages but obviously don't want to spam.

Not sure what really is the best thing to do?

Should I contact their HR if they simply haven't got back to me into next week?

Other contributors have been pitching through a team chat, in which she's responded, but Id already DM'd 2 pitches. And previously had sent all my other pitches that way, so wasn't sure whether to repeat the same pitches ij there or not.

Not sure of the best way to handle this. Any advice or similar situations appreciated.

Head injuries and apixaban

31, male, 5'11, non smoker, history of MI, post concussion syndrome, and severe health anxiety.

Posting about a concern that I know, even typing, sounds mad, and I do have serious health anxiety, but all the same need some advice from others in the same situation.

Been on apixaban for almost half a year, twice daily, after a clot that caused a heart attack last year.

I lightly banged my head in May - told not to be concerned unless I passed out by my GP, but did end up going A&E anyway due to what I was seeing online about the dangers of even a mild bump with apixaban.

Had a ct scan, told all fine, and ongoing headaches may be related to concussion.

Past week and a bit have been noticing stronger headaches and fuzziness again. Told by GP this may be related to tension and anxiety, which has been extremely high. Yet to start on meds for this.

This morning woke up genuinely unsure if I'd had another bump, I sleep next to the wall and woke up/then was half asleep again early on, had what I think was just a dream relating to an impact, as I don't remember an actual 'ouch, bang, collision' moment, but I do remember waking thinking I had, feeling a headache, and thinking 'oh no'

As said. I know this sounds mad.

But have now been worrying all day, not knowing if needed seeing, when not even sure I did actually have a bang.

And if I did it would have been mild.

Had headaches all through the morning, but as mentioned, this is something I've been experiencing anyway, also some dizziness but also something I was getting already - hasn't eased into the afternoon though.

Seeing on here you generally don't need to worry about a head bump on apixaban unless it's the kind of serious injury you'd be worried about anyway?

But then seeing the same crisis warnings when googling symptoms and situation online.

Due another apixaban tonight and first thing tomorrow, but don't know if should be, ahead of being able to speak to regular docs tomorrow.

Any advice appreciated

Headaches and brain fog

Had a mi last year, caused by a clot so on blood thinners. Still getting chest pains and told may also be a element of pericarditis so have been given prednisolone but told to wait until after an endoscopy due to ongoing gastric distress. Also recently however been getting frequent headaches throughout the day, feelings of fuzziness, and dizziness. Also incredibly fatigued, waking up unrefreshed and unrested. Told may be a strong element of tension in this, and been given diazepam, mirtazapine , and pregabalin. Unsure if this is the meds though, or a sign of lingering pericarditis?

Also experienced concussion but that was several months ago.

Has anyone been through or had similar?

Help

Dont know if these are bed bugs or something else. Have had a bad habit in the past of sitting in my bed in outdoor clothes. Past 2-3 weeks have been getting frequent bites, and have had cold symptoms for the past week and a bit. Have changed all my bedding but keep getting fresh bites still, don't know what to do next

Omeprazole with apixaban

I've been on apixaban for a few months. Taken twice a day, 12 hours apart, after breakfast and then in the evening. Ive also been given omeprazole to cover myself from this, but hadn't been sure if I was taking these correctly. I've been prescribed two a day, with the box stating one twice a day, but not specifying how long between as with the apixaban, so have just taken both at once each morning. I've been getting some stomach upset and diarrhea in the mornings and am wondering if this is why. I'm unsure, if I am spacing out my omeprazole, how best to do this - online it says to take half an hour before your last meal of the day, but since the times I have this changes day to day, is it wiser to just have it half an hour before my nightly apixaban, as I do in the morning?

Any advice appreciated.

Diazepam and mirtazapine

Been prescribed both, 2mg of diazepam as needed and 45mg mirtazapine nightly. Been told to leave 4hrs between doses of diazepam, but that then brings it closer to when I'm due mirtazapine. Do I need to leave the same gaps between those two, or does it not matter?

Apixaban - knocked head

Ive been on apixaban a month or so, after having suffered a heart attack caused by a clot last year.

I am used also to getting headaches and fuzziness, particularly when up early in the morning, and so far have had no issues with apixaban itself.

My anxiety has been near unmanageable over this, with near weekly hospital trips owing to ongoing chest pains after my attack, with nothing else having been found since.

However, I had been warned to look out for any head injuries, and slightly knocked my head when getting up from looking in the cupboard yesterday. Only slight connect, no bleeding, no bruising, but had a dull headache still, and some slight fuzziness.

Now my anxiety is spiralling again though, as Ive seen online any even minor bump can cause problems if on apixaban.

Ive spoken to my regular doctor, but they don't seem concerned if just the same dull ache and didn't pass out.

I desperately don't want to go into A&E needlessly again, but am meant to have my apixaban nightly and each morning.

Dont know what to think; had seen others experienced head injuries on here? Generally only an issue if severe head pain?

What does this mean?

Ive been communicating with my editor via Slack as part of freelance work, and have seen this symbol appear next to them, with it also stating blocked next to their profile.

Does this mean I've been blocked as one would be on social media, for some reason? In which case does this mean dismissal, and should I ask about it? Or is it actually indicating a problem at their end/might I have accidentally blocked them somehow? Can I undo this if so?

Thanks
