Why do kpop stans pick and chose which hybe groups to hate on?

Kpop stans in general really dislike hybe and its groups, but I see far much more hate for BTS, LSF, Illit, Katseye, and Cortis. TXT and Seventeen get pretty much no hate (which is obviously a good thing), but I'm just wondering why certain groups are hated on more and why TXT and SVT fans get along much better with the big 3 group stans. And BTS isn't really a "threat"; they are a lot more popular and not a big competition for any group tbh.

NMIXX are doing so well with Heavy Serenade!

NMIXX "Heavy Serenade" 12AM KST Update:

#2 Bugs (-1)
#16 MelOn (+6) *new peak*
#31 Genie (+4) *new peak*

I deleted my last post because I don't want to compare Aespa and NMIXX and drive hate towards Aespa, so this one is just about NMIXX lol. I'm so proud of their growth (Tic Tic is a banger). I feel like they've really grown in their popularity, and I'm not even a stan, but I'm really proud of them! The girls seem so sweet too. I think all of their songs debuted on melon hot 100 too. I'm happy the korean GP is appreciating NMIXX.

I never thought I would see the day where NMIXX are doing better than freaking Aespa and G-dragon on K-Charts

aespa "WDA (Whole Different Animal) (Feat. G-DRAGON)" 11PM KST Update:

#5 Bugs (+1) *new peak*
#34 Genie (+8) *new peak*
#41 MelOn (+17) *new peak*

NMIXX "Heavy Serenade" 12AM KST Update:

#2 Bugs (-1)
#16 MelOn (+6) *new peak*
#31 Genie (+4) *new peak*

Maybe it's just me, but I expected a top 10 debut for Aespa & G-Dragon's song. Also, this isn't hate, just surprise that NMIXX is doing so well: Aespa could very well do better than NMIXX in their next song, but this had G-Dragon in it + Aespa themselves who are very popular. Obviously, Aespa are still way more popular and I'm sure WDA is going to increase a lot. Maybe it's because k-charts prefer songs that aren't hiphop adjacent? But I'm not really sure.

Anyways, I want to say I'm so proud of NMIXX; I don't really follow them but TIC TIC is a banger and I'm so proud of their growth!!

Edit: Aespa did do better in music charts though, WDA is 3rd and Heave Serenade is 7th. I personally am not a big WDA fan (although I kinda prefer Aespa's earlier releases like Black Mamba; I was obsessed with that song) but Karina/Winter's part is catchy! (the it is what it is part lmao). I also rlly liked Rich Man and Dirty Work, especially the chorus (even more than Whiplash although I know that's a hot take). It was stuck in my head for so long. Also, WDA debuted on melon at 63; Supernova debuted at 54; this is after a couple of hours for both groups.

BTS just have a way of pulling you in

I remember SO CLEARLY one day watching dynamite after swim practice and thinking the song is nice and I love the blue hair! and the next day I was searching all their names and immediately being obsessed with them and then a week later I was begging my parents for their merch

They just have a way of pulling you in that is so special; I've never felt it before with other artists

Who are the idols in your favorite groups who show their real personalities, speak their minds, and just don't feel "manufactured" or fake?

Whether it’s how they interact with fans, their raw honesty about the industry, or just their general vibe on variety shows, who stands out to you as being 100% themselves? I think authenticity can be expressed in different ways, but I guess who is the most real (do you think) on camera?
