I've started to move away from tutorials and to my own compositions. I need to finish off the feet and branch but got to the point of not wanting to spoil it! Going to leave a blank background. I think the main part of the bird is finished. Any feedback welcome!

Great Tit on Willow

Hey everyone, added the willow branch. Hope you all like it :) I only started my painting journey in Feb this year and this little one is up there with my favourites.

Great Tit in Progress

Branched out. Own composition and trying to put into practice what I have learned. Really pleased so far! Fingers crossed the final parts will finish it off. Any advice is welcome :)

Red squirrel

Started a project with my daughter based on species that are threatened by extinction. I'm about 5 months into water colours and pleased with my project and getting to spend time with my daughter.

False Memory OCD

Evening everyone. Hope everyone is well. I think I might have False memory OCD. A thought appeared that I did something years ago, I have never had this thought before but I have ruminated over it so much that it became real in my head. There is no external evidence that the event/s occured. It's has led to some catastrophic consequences for me and I don't know how to explain myself. All I know is if I try and prove it it gets worse, or if I think about it moves and changes and more details are added. Can false memory OCD present like you've actually done the thing despite checking that I haven't? Any help trying to explain it to people would be appreciated.

Month 4: Robin

Been very busy recently so painting has taken a back seat but I have missed it! Here's a quick Robin based on Tom Shepherd.

Into Month 4: Toucan

Into month 4 after starting in Feb. Inspired by Tom Shepherd from his book Simply Paint Birds. Still fun, still enjoying helping my mental health and the focus and freedom painting brings.

Really pleased with the outcome and enjoyed painting these. Thanks to Tom Shepherd for his inspiration and guide.

Trying some slightly new techniques and painting quickly and more loosely. However the paint dries soooo quickly so edges become hard. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks everyone.
