Drakengard References at the NieR 12026 YoRHa Concert

This post is spoilers for the concert, and is based on the showings done in Seattle a few days ago. I was there with a bunch of friends (ton of us ended up traveling to Seattle to meet up and see the concert) so this is from having actually seen it.

>!They played the Final Song and it's the first and only other variation of that song since the song released (not counting Kuroi Uta).!<

>!It was so fucking cool.!<

More detailed info:

>!For whatever reason, the concert labeled it as "The Last Song." Not sure why, it's usually listed as "Final Song" or "The Final Song." The song is the 8th one they played, right before the intermission, and it began toward the middle part; it skipped a lot of the opening sections of the regular song. It played through to the end though, including the fade to black part. The concert had writing on a big screen for the concert-exclusive story to be read as the music plays, and while the visuals didn't always match the song context, this one had matching visuals; a giant white flower was present and a bunch of white rings with Angelic on it that matched the actual rhythm game battle would happen. During some parts the colors would swap to black instead of white, which was really cool. It was absolutely a huge love letter to Drakengard 3's finale even if the text was to match the concert story scenario.!<

Best concert I've ever been to and I hope they do another tour sometime after this, I'd absolutely go again. I tried to see two previous concerts but the first time my flight was cancelled due to snow (ironic) and the second concert I got COVID days for the first and only time in my life days before the concert happened. But this was incredible. Here's a very funny picture my friends and I took. If you have one near you happening soon, I highly, highly recommend seeing if you can go.

Reputation filtering is now enabled

I've enabled reputation filtering for the community. There is a nonzero chance this blocks some people from posting whose Reddit accounts are new. I've decided to do this though because the sub gets plenty of spam t-shirt links (see rule 4) and other efforts to curb it have failed. It's only set to moderate filtering though, so hopefully this does not actually block real posters, and you can always leave a message on this thread and the like if there is a problem.

That's all, thank you! And have fun, anybody going to any of the NieR concerts that'll begin later this week!

Recommended Symfonium settings for M500?

Not the smartest when it comes to settings but I see a lot of Symfonium options like using the built in system equalizer and other things like that, and I'm not sure what would be the best option. Does anybody have suggestions for the best settings to go with for the device? I'm also on the beta which I heard intends to improve audio for HiBy devices.

Cheapest Android DAPs that support Google Play?

I've already got myself the HiBy M500 so I don't need something new, but I know some people who use Symfonium just use a phone to stream from it because no storage to download stuff off a server they connect to with Symfonium. Symfonium however requires Google Play, so some old or cheap Android DAPs don't necessarily work for it. I've been looking into options as a result for something and it seems the best bet to me is the Zaqe P30, but I'm curious what other options people are using or may suggest. While a more expensive option may make more sense for a real music freak like myself, I figure something as an entry into the world that can seamlessly have the same music library and playlists and play history would be better than something like the HiBy R1.

5000

I'm not really brainwormed at all. That's the secret. I'm immune to the worms. But I really love this place and the other funny sub because these spots are some of the very few ones where I can see some very painfully and viscerally real aspects of being trans that not only nobody talks about in other places but are often shunned and disregarded. I'm not really always in the moon to see the 99999th post about transgender lesbian puppygirl polycules with some wacky silly kink and acting like that's the life of every trans person, not am I exactly the most interested in seeing a million posts of chasers only treating trans women as sex objects and then going to the comments to complain and getting hit with "but I'm a trans woman and I like being treated like a fetish" as a reply.

But this is a place where I can see instead... people. Trans people living trans lives and fighting to survive and have a little bit of comfort knowing I'm not actually alone. I can see discussion of the struggles of dealing with inability to get pregnant as a trans woman, I can see posts about the many real downsides of polycules, I can see vents from trans men about existence that is almost always drowned out elsewhere, I can see actual critique of the absurdity and hypocrisy of performative allies who don't understand a thing... Things that aren't really talked about because they're not comfortable to talk about. Things that aren't really talked about because they are too depressing to talk about. Things that aren't really talked about because we aren't even allowed to exist in so most places to be able to talk about said things. Things that remind me I'm human, and things that give me hope.

I don't comment a whole lot and this is my only post here. It just means a good deal to me. Thank you for giving a little bit of light in ironically painful topics and posts about life. Skibidi toilet or whatever the fuck they say also i refreshed the new tab like constantly to post this in time instead of writing a cover letter for a job fucfjk

How many songs/albums does it take for Jellyfin to have issues with music?

I've been using Jellyfin for music for a few months now. I tried migrating to Navidrome at one point but ran into issues with just the difference in how they scan and recognize music albums, but the sync is faster by a long shot. I have a dedicated DAP I use with Symfonium so I download music directly from and that works fine, but my library is huge. It is well over 30k songs and has been years of accumulation. Syncs take a little as a result, but from my understanding things start to have issues as you get more and more music added.

Is there much reason to migrate specifically on the music side? This really is the main question I have been unable to find a good answer on given Symfonium caches music data. It is just really painful to have to figure out Navidrome metadata and more when Jellyfin has worked and I feel like I'd rather not migrate, but I don't know. I'm not exactly knowledgeable here in what may make more sense given the sheer scale of the library.

I do hear that Jellyfin 12 may work better for stuff but also have no idea how much better.

Is the M500 battery issue still present?

Hello!

I got the M500 coming to me soon, but I read that the battery issue that impacted it quite a bit in the past returned with the cassette update. Is that still true? Or is it no longer an issue now? Just want to know if I'll be safe updating once it arrives in a few days. Thank you!

Queer spaces / events to go to, preferably non alcoholic?

I've been meaning to try and figure out various queer places and events to go to, hang out with and meet new friends and people, and one of the most commonly recommended things I've seen tend to be gay bars and the like. Only problem is, I don't drink at all and don't have any interest in starting to. I'm old enough to still enter a bar but I don't really think it'd make sense to go to one.

I've tried looking up pride events but also been struggling to determine where to go, and I'm not directly in Seattle and need to drive there normally. I've never been to some dedicated queer space and I'm really not too sure where or what to try checking out. So, I'm resorting to asking here because I'm just not too sure. Any suggestions on possible things to go to or check out and the like? Thank you for any information and help!

Trouble with game servers - Reverse proxy via Pangolin + Oracle free VPS to bypass CGNAT

Heya,

I got recently a free Oracle VPS set up with Pangolin to reverse proxy and expose some services to the web. It's worked out well as I am behind CGNAT and cannot do typical port forwarding to host stuff, and I can rest with that extra protection being there. The only issue though is that I can't figure out game servers for the life of me. I've tested mostly Minecraft and Terraria and I'm certainly doing something wrong but I don't know what. I can't find guides on something like this either, I'm just a bit lost on what I need to do. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Where do I find the Akoustika albums?

I really love the Akoustika II and III albums but it seems like all the original official places to get the others are gone. I really want to find them (especially if in lossless quality) but I'm a bit lost. I haven't been successful digging for them, and it sounds like they were originally available for free officially but it's just been too many years. Any ideas where to go?

Mostly title. I have an aging Fiio M7 and love it very much but it lacks internet support. I have a NAS I set up and want to use it going forward for much easier music downloading, statistics syncing and having my playlists be saved across all my devices, but I'd need Android (and if I want to use my preferred music app Symfonium which also needs Google Play services) to connect to my server.

From what research I did, some devices like HiBy R3 II are HiBy OS, but I'm confused if that means Android or not. It doesn't sound like it but then I look at reviews for the Hatsune Miku HiBy (which I really want but $300+ is a bit out of budget) and they say it's HiBy OS, but I know for a fact that it's a version of Android. So... I'm a bit confused here.

So, is HiBy OS Android and I'd be able to use the music player of my choosing, or are only specific versions of HiBy OS Android and I'd need to look at specific DAPs that are Android-based?
