Pecron F5000LFP 2nd Expansion Battery Sanity Check

I notice on my 5K that the app does not show the second expansion a battery and none are shown in the local display. It all seems to be working as expected. I'm able to get about 12 hours out of a 15kwh capacity, which is what I expect, but I was wondering if this is normal. I also would like feedback on how it's cabled since Pecron does not state how the cables should be situated.

Here's one way to store a 100ft 10AWG generator cord.

I used to struggle with rolling up and storing my 100ft generator cord. I was looking to get a wire spool, but it seems the simple solutions are not the most obvious. I got a couple of dozen of these buckets from a local bee keeper for $1 each. I thought I'd share in case it helps other newbs like me.

BTW, a cord of this length saps about 600w of power just through resistance and heat loss. I'm now looking into a 100ft propane hose.

Edit: wrong! See below.

Is this adapter safe?

With this adapter you are taking a source that can produce up to 50A and sending it through a 30A infrastructure. In theory, that 30A home infrastructure should never draw more than 30A sustained, but if it did then the breaker on the generator may not trip since this is a 50A plug. Is that true? Of course, that 30A home infrastructure should have its own breakers.

In my case, I am interested in using the 50A plug on my portable generator to charge a Pecron f5000lfp battery pack while the 30A plug powers the house. I have found that I can charge the battery quicker this way as opposed to putting the Pecron in-line with the generator. My generator only produces a sustained 7.2kw on propane, regardless of the adapter,. The Pecron can only charge at 3.6kw, since it can only charge at 120v, and my house averages about 1.3kw draw but can spike if the well pump comes on while I am making toast and my wife is using the hair dryer.

Is there a safety concern with what I am trying to do here?

Unable to re-add Pecron F5000LFP to the App

My Pecron F5000LFP seemed to develop a problem with the app where it would stop updating status properly. It would not show the right charge state or if the AC inverter was on. I could turn the AC inverter on in the app, and it would turn on on the 5000 itself, but when I would go back into the app it would show the AC inverter was off. Also, if I ran my battery down, say, to 98%, it would still show as a 100% in the app.

This has happened once before, and my fix was to delete the 5000 from the app and do a factory reset on the device itself. I then added it back ask if it were a new device. This worked the first ime I had this problem.

Now, the same problem resurfaced, so I went through the same steps. This time I am running into trouble with the following symptoms:

- I can't re-add the device even though I see the blinking WiFi icon on the display. It just does not find it.
- I made sure my WiFi network is only set to 2.4ghz

- I uninstalled the app completely from my phone, and even deleted my Pecron account

-  When I re-add my account using the same Email, it seems to be remembering my 5000 even though I deleted it from the app, uninstalled the app,  and deleted and re-created my account. I am not sure if this is what is interfering with my re-add of the device.

- I made sure there is no sort of VPN running on the phone

- Tried to scan the QR code and it gave me an error that it was an invalid code.
- I tried creating a new account with a Gmail alias (https://www.streak.com/post/gmail-plus-addressing-trick). It does not see my old device but it still does not recognize my 5000.

I figured I would solicit ideas on here before I contact Pecron. Has anyone seen this and found a way around it?

F500LFP AC Charging Using Solar Ports with a Power Supply?

Has anyone successfully used the solar input ports for charging with a third party power supply?

If so, can you suggest a power supply that works?

It seems like it would be a faster and more efficient way to charge the 5000LFP. I prefer to avoid splicing wires.

Android Auto Issues on a '22 Accord Sport?

I've been having issues with Android Auto on my Accord since I bought the car. I finally figured out that if you factory reset the head unit, it solves all the problems every time. I wind up having to do it every few weeks. Luckily, it's about a 2 minute process, plus 1 minute to pair your phone again. It doesn't even require a radio code to be entered. The only issue is you lose all your settings. That's fine for me since the only settings I care about are the audio settings, but it might be a pain for others. I figured I'd share in case it helps someone. It took my a year to figure this out.

Is there a trick to get the Pecron 5000LFP to charge with lower wattage?

I just got my 5000LFP out of the box and plugged in. As soon as I started to charge, it trips the breaker. I lowered the "charging speed" to 10%. There's no mention of wattage, so it's not clear what is meant by 10%. No matter what I do, it trips the breaker. It never shows any sort of input wattage, so I don't know if it's merely ignoring the 10% setting.

I also have an Anker Solix F2000. I figured I would plug it into that unit to see if it could give me clues, but it trips that as well.

Any ideas?

I also tried lowering the charge limit to 50%. No effect.

Edit1: Seems like I am hitting some sort of weird bug. If I have a 4 prong cable connected to the 30A 240V plug, It exhibits this behavior, even if no power is being drawn. I am certain this plug is connected to my manual transfer switch, but the switch is off. However, once I turn on the transfer switch and start supplying power to my house, the 5000 seems to charge okay, and operates normally. I'll keep messing around and report back on new developments.

BTW, I also I fired up my propane generator, and it is working fine with the same 240V extension cord and transfer switch, both when the transfer switch is on and off.

Edit2: I wonder if what I am seeing is some sort of grounding issue. I see the same behavior with both 120V charging cables. Weird. I'll keep testing to see where I get.

Edit3: I've isolated the problem to my transfer switch, although it's a bit bizarre. I have the AC inverter off and the home transfer switch off, but if the Pecron is connected to my transfer switch, it seems to draw too much power from the AC input, and trips the breaker on whatever is supplying the power. It happens at all charging speeds except 0%. This happens with both the 18kw and 3.2khw 120VAC input cords. It also happens if I am supplying charging power to Pecron from a wall outlet, an Anker F2000, or a generator. I have two NEMA L14-30P to NEMA L14-30R 125/250V 7500W cords, a 40ft one and a 100ft one. Both exhibit the same symptoms when they are connected to the transfer switch.

It only happens if my transfer switch is off. If my transfer switch is turned on, the Pecron gives my house power and charging behaves normally. I have two propane generators that have never shown any issues with my manual transfer switch. Weird.. I don't know how my transfer switch could be causing the problem. Maybe it's a grounding issue? I'd love to hear ideas people might have about what might be going on.
