e-Mail is down AGAIN.

At just before 8:30am my private e-mail went down for the third time in several days ("cannot connect to the server"). I still have no ticket number; they have provided zero response to my prior attempts to report these issues; there are no updates on the NameCheap site; and nobody is actually answering questions in the supposedly live support chat (you are redirected to send an e-mail, after already waiting far too long, and that e-mail gets no reply).

I understand that force majeure happens, but NameCheap is improving neither the transparency nor the direct client support issues that have been raised here since the start of the business day on August 13th. (I also love the rule that I cannot post here unless I have no reply from NameCheap for 72 hours; and that I require a ticket response before I can come to this forum.)

HORRIFYING Customer Service/Tech Support

I recently got a new e-mail address and managed to change it with everyone - including the bank, credit card companies, and Revenue Canada - and found the process at Fizz absolutely ridiculous. At the end of a 40-minute (!!!) chat-based process in which it was clear the "agent" was working multiple customers and paying very little attention, they sent a confirmation link that no browser would follow without generating a security warning that I could not bypass (I tried Chrome, Firefox, and Edge). The chat agent insisted I should be able to ignore the error message or should just find a different browser. They ended up just ending the chat and saying either I should just wait OR it was changed and everything was now fine - they could not seem to make up their mind and clearly just wanted to end the chat.

Today I cannot log into my account because the old e-mail is no longer linked to the account; the new e-mail is producing a "wrong password" message (even though I never changed the password); and the button to reset the password says that function is not available.

I did not think anyone, anywhere on Earth could provide worse customer service than Bell but congrats, Fizz! YOU DID IT!

Now looking for another cellular provider. After well over an hour in chat, I still cannot access my account and have no idea what e-mail is linked to it.

Is anyone else in Toronto dealing with an internet outage that's neither being explained nor resolved?

My internet went down at about 6:30 last night and it's still out. Originally it was supposed to be resolved in four hours (so 10:30pm yesterday); then by 2:30am today; and now by 10pm today. No explanation, no nothing.

UPDATE: For those maybe experiencing this and also finding no information on the Bell website, here is what I know...

Fault ID#764405 identified as "a facility-related problem" (a "larger problem affecting core infrastructure in the area, not just individual lines or homes"). Supposedly takes longer to resolve because it entails "more complex repairs, coordination, or safety checks before service can be fully restored."

Current ETA for resolution is now 2am tomorrow - but that would be the fourth time it's been pushed back, so I wouldn't count on it.
