Tier list based on how difficult the songs are for me to sing

Im just a self taught singer so a lot of these are difficult for me. But my singing is pretty fine, I think it’s mostly because I’m more comfortable in my low range/ even male tenor register 😭

Yeah anyways I’d be happy to hear what the others think. Which songs do u think are the most difficult to sing or which ones do u think are easy?

[A Stepmother’s Märchen] I lowkey don’t blame the church for accusing them of incest 😭

For anyone who doesn’t rlly know: Shuri (pink hair) is Jeremy’s (blonde dude) stepmother. She’s only 2 years older than him. And after a lot of scenarios and situations, rumors appeared of them being involved inappropriately with each other. And then they were even accused by the church and brought to trial where they had to prove their innocence. (The church had ulterior motives too but it’s not like the rumors were baseless)

What I mean is, with the way they acted with each other, I genuinely thought Jeremy had feelings for her😭 I swear the author did that on purpose. I really thought Jeremy would be a love interest despite being her stepson. But yeah during that trial arc they kind of explained their feelings better. Besides, the male lead is definitely Norra (black haired guy in picture 3.)

Was I the only one who thought Jeremy was supposed to be a love interest??

[Fantasies of a stepmother] Right, an Empire called “Empire” but in German 💔

As a German, I found quite a lot of names very funny in this Manhwa but this keeps on bothering me. Is it just this specific fan translation or is it called this in other versions too?

It’s kinda funny tho

How do I improve these sort of high notes?

I’m a total amateur, which is audible. I’ve only recently learned how to use mixed voice like two weeks ago maybe. (idk if this is even mix here?..)

I had tried with a lot of YouTube tutorials but it never worked. Then some online friend just told me “breathe through your nose” and that was all it took and suddenly I was able to sing higher. Rlly crazy.

I’m still practicing it though.

Now these notes, I don’t know if they’re mix at all or some other register.

The long note in the first song is a D5 and before that, the “ta” in the “watashi wa” is an A5 which is really high I think? It does sound strained though probably, I honestly can’t tell.

How can I improve this in case they’re strained or off in any way? All I know if that they felt very comfortable.

When I sang the second song, Ultra C, a few months ago, I was practically just screaming and my throat was hurting after. While it still sounds kinda shouty today, it felt very comfortable. I think the high note here is higher than the one in Vivarium. Idk which note exactly it is though. Maybe one of you can tell me

I could feel it in my tummy a lot during the high notes and after practicing them for a little, I was pretty exhausted and it felt like I just did a little cardio training lol. I googled and apparently it’s good like that.

So if it sounds like I’m using wrong technique what can I do better? This is already a huge achievement for me since I always thought I had a lower range and going further up would be impossible. So I really want to practice this well!

Do they also just not talk for you guys??

It’s actually maddening. I ask the bot something and EVERY SINGLE SLIDE goes “He didn’t answer, but-“ or something similar. Why tf aren’t they answering? I thought it might just be the bot since it’s a quieter character but the others are doing it too!

It’s insanely frustrating. I have to add in () in every of my messages that they actually have to respond to me and yet they still don’t do it most of the time. How am I supposed to do anything when the other side doesn’t say a word?

Everyone seems to have a problem with the newer chat styles so I’m probably not the only one

I want to get vocal training, should I get a classical teacher or a pop teacher?

The easy answer would probably be the pop teacher, since I like to sing pop songs. But now after reading about some opinions online I’m unsure.

I have seen people say that they were glad to have done classical training first, even if they now sing pop, because it gave them a stronger foundation (?) and better breath support and stuff. I also really love the sound of classical singing and especially the vibrato, I would love to be able to do that. And they have like louder voices, because the way they sing has more resonance (I think) I love that.

While I do love the sound of opera, I don’t really plan on singing that a lot.

Actually nothing really speaks against the classical teacher, right? Just one thing I’ve read is that they don’t teach mixed voice apparently? That they’d rather I go into head voice right away or something. But I thought that sounded kind of ridiculous. Shouldn’t all the important registers be taught? I definitely need a healthy mixed voice for singing pop songs. I hope that was just an idiot on the internet who I read that from.

So yeah by why I wrote so far you can probably see I’m considering the classical teacher more.

Would it make it harder for me to sing pop once I get used to classical singing? As long as I don’t entirely stop with singing pop in my free time, surely the classical training would only help with it, right?

Someone please give me their opinion on my rambling and theories, thank you

Can someone help me figure out how much I need to transpose this?

Hi so basically I want to cover a song. I’m using a different instrumental though that is deeper than the original.

This is the one I’ll be using: https://youtu.be/sk\_9CU1VhLQ?si=hC\_1VuDqbDpBt1s4

And this is the original: https://youtu.be/wrJfV\_YQHgk?si=QjPTIiNtCY33qUE8

I downloaded the official harmony guide by the creator, but the harmonies are in the key of the original of course. Now I can’t quite figure out how much I have to transpose the harmonies so that they would be in the key of the lower instrumental. I have it at -5 right now but pretty much anything I do feels like it sounds off.

The deeper instrumental is apparently in Am. I got that from a website that tells you the key of songs. The original is in C#, but I’m not sure if that’s right either since I only have that off of the internet. Maybe someone who has a rlly good ear can tell me what key they actually are in and how much I would need to transpose the harmonies? I’m really clueless here so id be thankful for any help!!

How much deeper is the Fuuta salamander cover compared to the original?

I wanted to cover the song using the Fuuta instrumental. I downloaded Deco’s official harmony midi files for the song but they’re in the key of the Miku version obviously. I’m literally tone deaf, I can’t figure out how many half notes I have to transpose the harmonies so they’d be on key with the Fuuta instrumental, someone help me out please 😭

I have them on -5 right now but I can’t hear if it’s right or not

I tried a high range test, why do the very high notes sound cleaner than the lower ones?

Please don’t mind how bad it is, I’m not high ranged 😭

Regarding the title, the notes are all high, especially for me since I’m most comfortable in my low range. But still, I can barely get up to the G5, but then I can hit the notes above more clearer, why is that? Is it a different register or something? Also the lower ones sound more breathy and have a rasp, the higher ones don’t, they’re much louder too.

Miku did say it might get harder to continue with just Falsetto, which I’m still not rlly sure what it is, to be honest. Apparently it’s still in the headvoice register but it’s kinda different. So maybe I’m doing the much higher notes in a different register? Is it perhaps whistle? Idk 😭 I think whistle is much higher actually

I hope someone can explain this because I don’t quite understand. Notes in that range (around C5) always sound so raspy if I sing them quietly like this, so it’s been bothering me already

(Funfact for anyone wanting to try this: there’s also a low range test by Miku. I could only do the first round though to a D#3 lol)

[help] Romance Manhwa recommendations written for guys?

So idk if the title is clear enough. I mean Manhwa that are targeted towards guys.

So far, I have only read romance manhwas targeted towards girls, so I’d like to see the other side lol.

Yk how in the ones targeted at girls, the male lead is usually like very handsome, well built, oftentimes rich, kind, protective, that stuff. Usually the dream guy for most girls.

I wanna see what the female leads are like in manhwas that are targeted towards guys. I feel like I’m probably not gonna like it, just like guys always call male leads unrealistic (in female targeted things). But still, I’d like to read some.

I would prefer finished ones that aren’t too long, I guess. So ideally around 80-100 chapters? Also, please no porn. It’s fine if there’s an intimacy scene or whatever but no straight up porn please 😭

If you read these sort of things often, u can also just leave a description of what they’re like most of the time. There will probably be a pattern, just like with the average male lead in female targeted manhwa, so I’m curious about that.

Thank you!

How do I know if I’m really a contralto or something else?

Before I just posted, it said these types of posts are only allowed on Tuesdays. I am in Germany, it is Tuesday already. Just to make it clear.

I do have a deeper tone in my voice when talking, but not as much as for people to think I’m a guy or anything like that.

My range is about E3 to G5. My voice starts breaking around G/A4, so I mostly resort to headvoice for those higher notes. Ofc I can go higher in mix (I think) but that’s much more exhausting and takes a lot of breath. Like to a little over a C5 maybe.

I can go down to about a C#3 but only in a whisper(-ish tone.)

I like to sing jpop and Vocaloid songs, but struggle with them since most of them are out of my range. I usually have to lower them by about 4 or 5 semitones when I want to sing them.

I once went to karaoke with a few friends and really struggled with most of the pop songs they chose, I strained my voice so bad trying to sing along. They didn’t seem to have a problem at all though. And they don’t even practice singing in their free time like I do

Google says it’s also about timbre and weight, though I don’t exactly know what it means. I assume a vocal recording of me would be needed? But I can’t put on here anyway, can’t put a link to my YouTube where I post covers either.

So I hope this info can at least give a bit of a hint for other people who know so much more about singing than me to help me.

There’s also low mezzos apparently, but idk which one I would be now, a contralto or a low mezzo? And shouldn’t I be able to go much higher if I was a mezzo?

Am I the only one who thinks these really look like ai?

The rest of the effects were very obviously cgi, they looked a little silly ngl lol but these pics I’m showing looked really odd to me and I just feel like they’re ai.

Like the room Mona is sitting in just looks a mess and it looks very unlike the rest of the cgi visuals, and these roses coming out of the skull looks so quick and unnatural. Tell me I’m not the only one pls 😭

Ofc even if it was it wouldn’t be their fault, but if it rlly is ai I hope the studio gets some backlash so they won’t use it anymore

Was this high note done healthy or not? I don’t wanna strain my voice

I think it’s around a G6? From what I saw about the song online.

I’m not sure if you can tell from hearing only actually. It definitely didn’t hurt and it felt like it came from the back of my mouth instead of the front. I’m pretty bad at explaining, I’m sure there’s better terms for the positions in the mouth/throat but I don’t know them.

I was pretty shocked I could go that high in the first place since I’m pretty sure I’m a Contralto. My voice usually dies trying to go higher than an A5 or G5. So it’s funny how I can make that jump into the 6th octave but I can’t sing the notes in between. But I also can only sing the rest of this song in falsetto and head voice sighhh

Hi I’ve been playing for about two weeks now, never touched a bass or guitar before that. Maybe some of you saw my last post, I hurt my finger so I’m playing with a pick here. It’s quite different with a pick but I like it too.

The song here is actually much harder and has so many different notes but I kinda tried to simplify it a little by playing less notes overall.

Is just repeatedly playing all it takes to learn a song? Or is there smth else idk. Also, even if I’ve simplified the song, is it maybe too hard for me? I don’t think it’s very difficult to play but as you can see hear it doesn’t sound too good either lol

I tried some of the beginner bass songs but they’re a little boring tbh

Been playing for about a week now and my guitarist friend already warned me that I’ll get callouses and stuff. But are they supposed to look like this? It’s so red and it hurts to touch things with it. Just sometimes I feel it throbbing too.

I haven’t even been playing that much. It was just skin-colored this morning and after playing just two songs it started looking like that. Been a few hours since I last touched my bass but the red isn’t gone yet. Maybe it’ll be skin color by morning again, who knows. But is it supposed to get this red in the first place?

My middle finger is starting to develop it too.

Is it normal and I should just continue playing everyday or should I take a break?
