Let me run this idea by you guys and see if anyone could make money off of it. When I walk into a business , store, restaurant, etc. I'm very critical by nature. Maybe I get it from my dad ? I walked into an Arby's yesterday around 5 pm and the place was dead on a Friday afternoon, I sat inside and ate and the place was disgusting . Tables dirty, trash on the floor. I've been thinking about this concept for a while. I don't mind giving it away because I'm working on something very big at the moment. The concept I have in my head is having an army of people in black shirts hit the city or town to become business critics. These people walk into stores and restaurants and take pictures and videos if needed and even have the name of the startup business critics on their shirt. When these guys walk into an establishment business owners and employees get real nervous and perk up . These business critics then take the data and post it on business critics and the whole town can see the monthly results. Kind of like the food industry and the health dept. scores. This information would crush Google reviews because it wouldn't be fake. It would be real criticism from a non bias person. This data would then be available to the public and I believe the site would get hammered with traffic from people wanting to know all the flaws of the business they are thinking of spending money at. How would you make money ? Advertising of course. This might peak a new app for someone .good luck

Ever used a tip like this ?

This is the long range applicator tip I love. At 8gpm you can apply bleach to a 3 story back of house. It applies more even across the house with better coverage. I have 1 left . Can't remember where I bought them or what degree they are..

Holy cow--is this a rip off or what ?

rip-off

I pay around $170 for a 100' section of Excaliber I believe. I can go 6 months or so without a blow out. This price above is insane. Who would pay that ?

At 61 , a lot of you guys don't remember the McDonald's of the 70's. What's stopping you from emulating the exact menu they had of their food and opening up a chain? (nothing).........Man was their food good back then. I can picture eating one right now. It was just hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and shakes back then ( I think ) Then they screwed everything up. I just Googled this term:

can I make a 1970's McDonalds hamburger ? a.i. gives you everything you need to make it, then go down the list of their menu. I swore I'd never do a venture that had to do with food, so i'm giving this one away. Let me know when you have the first store built, I'll drive out there and give it a try.

Edit--the menu has already been socially proven, so there's no way you can fail

Wooster brushes and White Dove roller nap

Painted the ceiling today with SW ceiling paint. I guess it was ok. When I cracked the bucket open it had a small area of skin which I didn't take out . Came back to haunt me for the next few hours. The Wooster brush didn't seem like it was performing any where near a Purdy brush. Why in the work did HD stop selling Purdy supplies ? I'll never buy another Wooster brush. Then the SW kid sold me on a 3/8 White Dove nap. Very unpleasant day of painting. The nap doesn't hold paint worth a ####-->Never again

Am I making a mistake ?

Have a ceiling to paint. Behr ceiling paint (5 gal) is $130 something .Sherwin Williams is $176 . Will I be miserable with paint splatter using Behr. ? Should I tell customer to bite the bullet and pay more ?

Never in a million years........

( intermediate handy man post ).... Never in a million years would I ever use oil-based primer to block water stains on the ceiling..... An absolute headache and a nightmare....The roller is toast ,the brush is toast , my face is covered with oil based primer mist where I'll need rubbing alcohol to clean it up. Who in their right mind would ever use this stuff over water based Kilz (?)

Question about organic pigment paints....

there was a discussion the other day about organic pigment paints. When you suspect organic pigment paints you guys say do a test and see if the siding can be bleached. I get that. When you tell the customer I can't wash your house because it has organic paint , do you reveal to them that you've done a test on their siding or keep that a secret.( because you've marred up their paint somewhere in an inconspicuous spot.

Have you ever drank sodium hydroxide ?

I found this interesting. If mods find it inappropriate delete it . You can Google it for more interesting information on it.

If I look at this too long I get so angry (design-flaw)

I would assume a giant corporation like BP has at least one product designer or many product designers. As something as critical as pumping fuel to the general public .Why in the world would you incorporate any *green* at all into the diesel pump label if you already have a green label for *regular* gas ? How can anyone be proud of that decision ?

Question about purgatory

I've been a catholic all my life, but left the church for 21 years from 1984-2005. The subject of purgatory has always bothered me. While cleaning up my Google photos I ended up seeing a pic of a book my priest allowed me to photograph in confession. The title Visions of purgatory "a private revelation". Has anyone read this book? I Googled the title and then ended up reading about St. Faustina's visions of purgatory. That got me thinking. 1. Does this small book Visions of purgatory match up to St. Faustina's visions of purgatory ? Does St. Faustina's visions of purgatory match up to what the catechism says? 3. Anyone here know if the catechism changed after St. Faustina's visions of purgatory -since she holds so much influence in the faith ?
