Gear improvement/replacement suggestion

Gear improvement/replacement suggestion

I returned to the game earlier this week after 3 years.

This is my gear from 3 years ago. And also what I use currently. Always have been 1h spear and cryptcandle user. I can also use siegebow, longbow, deathergivers, dagger, claymore, crossbow, warbow, 2h sword, boltcaster, bear paws and axe.

Is this good for dungeon farming or pvp?

The jacket can be switched to mage armor or specter armor as well. I have all sorts of capes and shoes.

Gear score is 1400.

I also have tier 4 gear for all these gears.

Any suggestions for dungeon solo on yz/rz and general open world pvp.

Thanks.

Good time to return?

Hello,

I played albion online in 2019 and was mostly pve/gatherer in blue and yellow zones. I quit right after queen update due to irl stuff. I did login a few times in 2021 and 2022. During this time I got a normal island, another island on breclin and an island on carleon. I used to breed the mounting animals on those islands and sell them. Also do a lot of farming.

I logged in again 2024 when the server split and then I haven't logged in 2 years.

Question:

  1. Is it worth returning?

  2. I have max 1 hour per day to spend on gaming due to busy work/life/family schedule, should I even return? Because from what I remember it was a very live-in game.

  3. It was a good f2p game. Is it still?

Thanks

OPS contract extension

Hello,

I work for a crown agency under OPS. I am third party contractor. Contract ends in 1 week. 6 months ago I was told my contract will most likely be increased. 3 months ago, around mid Feb I started asking my manager and directors about my contract status and possible extension. They said, nothing has been decided yet.

I reminded them as well as my third party agency about it every month. Finally last week on Friday the third party agency informed me that the crown agency has decided to increase my contract by another year, but they need to go through the requisition process. I asked my manager about this requisition process and she said it will take a couple weeks for the process to complete.

The issue is, my contract ends in 8 days on May 20. If the requisition process takes weeks to process, why wasn't it processed earlier? Does that mean I will potentially be unemployed after May 20th? The manager told me that on 20th May, I need to submit my laptop and id's and when I return on new contract I will get a new laptop and id's. It just don't make sense to me.

Are they planning to not hire me again? I just want clarity so I can start looking for another job. This whole process feels weird and incredibly shady.

Please share your opinion.

looking for investment advice ...how would you invest if you had 10k to invest.

I make a decent amount from work. I am single, no kids, no gf, 41. Last 15 years, I worked and paid off all family debts. We were poor and My mum had cancer in 3rd stage and we had to sell everything to save mom because insurance ran out. That was 20 years ago. Plus I had student loan when I got my masters. But everything is paid off now. But despite working for almost 2 decades, I have no significant savings. I have like 15k and live mostly paycheck to paycheck. That 15k is just chilling in the bank.

I have a questrrade account and sometimes I make upto 500 bucks a month. Its impossible to trade as I work fulltime onsite.

Someday I want to save enough to buy a house, I dont know when that day will come. Renting a condo in downtown Toronto, walkable from work.

Anyways I want to invest 10k, if not atleast 8k into something that gives passive income. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Alright so this is just a question and not a decision. I am accounting grad that graduated from another country about 19 years ago. I entered the field of supply chain and slowly made my progress to management. I'm currently an inventory manager. The most important part of my job is that I get to meet people, travel and do inventory related business deals and contracts with them. I do like my job but I feel like I can do more. I have reached the threshold of my career. As if I have to go beyond this, I will have to do professional certifications.

I had a wild idea that wealth management might be a great career option for me as I have the necessary skills for it. I know I will need a plethora of certifications and licenses for it. But I am down.

The question, can I make it? Please share your experience.

About me:

Single male, never married, no kids, 41, six figure salary, currently a manager in public sector but have 10+ years of non managerial experience in private sector. Expert negotiator, knowledge of contract law. Willing to start from scratch.

I am currently researching costs and other charges involved for this transition.

I wanted to know about permit required for selling stuff online. I am talking about new retail products like clothes, toys, shoes etc. Here are my questions:

  1. Are there different kind of permits per type or product I want to sell?

  2. Do permits have an expiry date?

  3. Are permits limited to state only or can I get a nation-wide selling permit?

  4. Cost of permit?

  5. Does the cost of permit depend on business size or sales?

Thanks.
