Looking for musicians to jam DOOM / DOOM Eternal songs

Any musicians around the Rockville/DC/NOVA area interested in jamming songs from DOOM and DOOM Eternal? Stuff like “The Only Thing They Fear Is You,” “BFG Division,” and “Rip & Tear.” I play guitar—hit me up if you’d be down! 😁

Unexpected NGD - Ibanez Alpha 8

Unexpected NGD 😄

My girlfriend got me this beauty for our anniversary (My girlfriend is literally cooler than your girlfriend 😌)

I just picked up the Alpha 7 a few weeks ago, and she saw how much I loved it. Apparently she decided one Alpha wasn’t enough, so she surprised me with the 8-string version.

It’s just as comfortable as its little brother, and it plays just as good too. One thing that really surprised me is the finish—it looks completely different in person than it does online

We decided to name her Big Mama.

I can’t believe I’m so lucky that I get to have two of these guitars. Couldn’t be happier. 🙂

Looking for 1-on-1 Vital lessons—does anyone teach or know a good instructor?

Hello everyone!

I’ve recently been trying to get back into music and when it came to learning more with guitar I found I had much better success learning from one on one classes as opposed to pre made video courses online.

I want to learn to use Vital but this is all completely new to me so I have no idea what I’m doing, so I was hoping to find another tutor, however I haven’t been able to find anyone.

Would anyone here happen to have any recommendations?

NGD - Ibanez Alpha 7

Always wanted to make an NGD post in here! I know this guitar is a bit of a controversial one on this sub, so hopefully I don’t get too much hate. 😄

I finally got to a point financially where I could justify buying my first 7-string, and I ended up finding this one online for $1300. It was a display model from a guitar show, so because it had been taken out of the box the shop sold it at their used price.

The shop absolutely went above and beyond, too. I mentioned I was a little nervous about buying a “used” guitar online, so they gave it a full setup before shipping it out. They even filed the nut to fit the heavier gauge strings I wanted, installed a fresh set for me, and threw in an all-in-one guitar repair tool in case I found something wrong.

Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. 😁

Installed a REAPER theme but it looks nothing like the screenshots online — what am I missing?

Hey all, I’m super new to REAPER and I installed the Reapertips theme, but mine looks completely different from the screenshots on the website. I already imported the .ReaperThemeZip file and selected the theme in REAPER, and I followed the quick start pdf, so I’m not sure what I missed.

The first image is what the theme is supposed to look like, and the second image is what mine currently looks like.

Did I install it incorrectly?
Do I need additional layouts/plugins/settings/scripts for it to match the screenshots?

Any help would be appreciated 😅

How to show grid lines over tracks

Hello! I was wondering if it’s possible to show grid lines over a track like Ableton does? would really help to see if guitar tracks are hitting the time signatures perfectly.

Here’s a picture of a track from both i think will help show what I mean, I want the lines to show up over the sound waves.

Wrist pain when playing a baritone

Hello, I just got a 30” scale length guitar, I’ve been practicing with it a lot and I’ve noticed I get a lot of pain in my left wrist and even around my thumb when playing it and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this before or has any advice on how to deal with it?

Hello! I just ordered the Harley Benton baritone with the intention of modding it so I can fit strings the thickest 6 strings from an 8 string guitar.

I am very new to this and was wondering what things I’ll need to do?

Any help is super appreciated 🙏🏻
