I’m not happy with this zipper on my new Samsonite bag. Am I overreacting or do you think I should return it?

I just received my new Samsonite Classic Multi Gusset Toploader Briefcase (from Amazon by 3rd party). It’s a great bag. I really like it - except for one of the zippers.

The quality of the bag’s zippers isn’t great to begin with, but the one in the posted photo might reach the level of ‘problem’.

In that photo the bag is unzipped. I’m holding the sides together to show the spot where the zipper is simply a little off. When I zip the bag open/closed I feel a little stutter at beginning and end of that spot. Other than that the bag closes securely.

Any thoughts? Am I making too big of a deal out of this? Or do you think this warrants sending it back?

Anyone have experience with Ctactical’s Lite Backpacks or Office Kit?

CTactical’s Lite models are among the few backpacks they currently have in stock. I’m not finding much about them in the form of product reviews so I’d like to know if any of you have experience to share.

I’d also love to hear from anyone who can tell me about Ctactical’s Office Kit. I can’t find much info about those either.

TIA

What are the best backpacks for laptop protection?

I haven’t worn a backpack in many years. So recently - after lots of research - I purchased Aer’s City Pack Pro 2. My main reason for needing the bag is to safely carry my laptop.

But tomorrow I’m returning the CPP2 because I don’t like the way the back of the bag collapses into the laptop compartment. And I’m back to square one looking for a backpack.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Perhaps a bag with a sturdier back? Or is the collapsing issue common as most bags have a similar airflow design?

Anyone take advantage of the Verizon cash back offers lately?

Like so many others I’m looking to switch from T-Mobile (cellular) after this week’s price hikes. I’m likely switching to Verizon for their new Simplicity Plan.

If I can add $75 cash back (or the recently offered $150) with Rakuten, the decision becomes even easier. So I’m curious -

Have any of you switched to Verizon with a new line recently? If “yes” did you get the full cash back amount from Rakuten? Was it a smooth process? TIA

They appear once or twice a day every summer. Any idea what they are?

They’re tiny - roughly the size of a Grape Nut (cereal) or one piece of Nerds candy.

I typically see 1 or 2 a day and usually by a window. And they do fly.

I think these bugs might have dark spots on their other side.

Any ideas?

Is it reasonably safe to start setting up my new Mac over public wi-fi?

I just moved and won’t have home internet for a week or so. I also just picked up a new MacBook! I’d like to get started with setting that up (ex: downloading Office) and then start migrating stuff from an external hard drive.

Is it safe to do that over public wi-fi (Starbucks)? Or should I just wait and do everything when my internet is up?

TIA
