Thinking of doing the Ha Giang Loop solo in September – any tips?

I'm thinking of doing the Ha Giang Loop in early September, probably around Sept 6–8 for 2 nights/3 days.

Has anyone done it solo? I'm still deciding whether to just do it myself or join a group. I like the idea of having some flexibility, but it'd also be nice to meet other travellers along the way.

If you go solo, is it easy to meet people once you get to Ha Giang? Are there hostels or places where solo travellers tend to meet up and do the Loop together?

Would love to hear any tips or recommendations, especially from anyone who's done the 3D/2N route or gone in September!

Recruiting through my personal LinkedIn account as a side hustle – any advice?

I'm helping recruit for a couple of roles as a side hustle and plan to use my personal LinkedIn account to source candidates.

For those who've successfully recruited through their own profile rather than through a company page or agency brand:

What's worked best for attracting quality candidates?

What screening process do you use before introducing candidates to clients?

Any mistakes you made early on that you'd avoid now?

Would appreciate any lessons learned or best practices.

Filing for foreign income tax

If you are earning foreign income, did you handle your taxes yourself or did you use an accountant/tax agent?

I’m trying to understand what most people do, especially if they hire someone to take care of tax filing and compliance, or if it’s manageable to do it alone.

What was your experience, and would you recommend using a professional?

How do people find remote full-time jobs these days?

How are people generally finding remote full-time jobs in 2026?

Is LinkedIn still useful for getting responses, or are there better job boards for remote roles?

Do most people still get hired through online applications, or is networking now the main path?

Just trying to understand how the process works today.

Anyone here working in the nights remotely?

As the title says, is there anyone here working remote jobs during the night? Been working night shifts at home for about a year now, my sleep hasn’t been great, feels like my cognitive functions are depleting. It also feels a bit isolating since you can’t have much of a social life in the evening etc. If you work nights, how do you cope with this? I know having a routine helps and going to the gym, but is there anything specific that helps?
