There’s such a big problem of so many subs being US central and getting answers to questions UK specific or anywhere other than the US is hard and it’s annoying you also can’t browse and find answers to questions you didn’t even think of since the question may be there but all the answers are about what the rules and problems are in Nebraska, Arkansas or Maine not in Staffordshire, Dumfriesshire, Down or Anglesey . The rules are different between Scotland and wales and between Northumberland and Suffolk never mind between West Virginia and Conwy or between Florida and Tyrone.

Learning our local rules and ways of sustainability is the best way to keep building sustainability up and helping to hopefully heal the planet in a couple or so centuries hopefully

How to get posts on your sub seen with a new sub ?

I have previous subs I’ve made but I’ve been able to post on other subs to get people to join then that started them off , but my current one I haven’t got a sub to advertise on to try get people to join. It’s not exactly niche but it’s not the biggest thing ever , it’s just being sustainable in the uk , since r/sustainable or might be r/sustainabliving or something like that , but since those subs are mostly US focused , a uk based one would make it easier for advice etc on being sustainable specifical in the uk , that’s why it’s hard to get my posts on it out , so how can I get people to see the posts etc

Guess where I’m from based on nationalities I’ve met

It’s based off either ones I definitely know or ones I’ve most likely , like I know an Austrian but I’ve met a lot of anti Iran regime people and atleast some I suspect are Iranian . I only added the suspected ones since without that I’d have South Africa and iran gone and I already have a lack of countries

Edit:forgot to add Portugal , only because I can vaguely remember meeting a Portuguese person, also Albania

The world is healing ❤️‍🩹

Has anyone else gotten the Reddit search recommendation of “the rising of atheism “ or something like that , I love how every religious sub seems to be worrying about it if , r/christianity has people complaining about the atheist mod, atheists in general and worrying about atheism , I saw on r/islam Muslims worrying about large hidden atheist groups in majority muslim countries and apparently lots of imams (is that the name or imans) saying that in Pakistan there’s a rising large atheist population within Gen Z .

Like how else can we decrease religious control in this world , just showing how religion is stupid can’t hold it and decrease it forever , there’s no tactics I can think of . Thankfully Islam and Christianity are losing followers by their own cause , radicals doing crazy stuff and other stuff in the name of due to the religion happening destroying the rep within youth population , but Sikhism , Buddhism and Hinduism don’t seem to be lowering , Sikhism and Buddhism are only lowering because their populations are not having enough kids , the main Chinese and Japanese religions seem to be keeping their numbers but I don’t believe it’s actually accurate

A sub to discuss about how to help the environment

So I know on most average subs you can but I want one specifically for discussing stuff like changing lifestyle choices or discussing how Kawasaki is working on their hydrogen powered motorbike . Just discussing environmental stuff etc

Why do so many more replies to posts show as downvoted than they used to like it seems one in every 4 comments show as downvoted ?

Im guessing Reddit has done an update that hasn’t fully gone through for everyone and somethings happening with upvotes/downvotes

Do we know much about the kingdom of Northumbria other than just leaders and basic things about life ?

Like is there much other info like wars, civil war maybe , leaders , law and order , lives of average person . I’m only curious because I live in Northumberland , the county named after the kingdom

What was seen as poor food in the kingdom of Northumbria ?

If it’s known what was seen as the poor good since it’s colder here than the rest of the country so it would of been different to London and Wessex etc

Is there actually a reasonable way the uk could get rid of its debt eventually ?

We need to give more benefits to people like fix the public transport system and reduce the prices and build more council houses etc but we do need to try get rid of the debt eventually or it’ll effect prices .

So is it even possible to be lost or are we 100% gonna be in quadrillion’s of debt in a couple hundred years

Do you think that if you eventually removed or mostly removed religion people would then become bad due to not having a way to blackmail them ?

So like lots who would want to do heinous crimes don’t due to blackmail as like if they do something bad they’ll go to hell etc but if they don’t have that blackmail and only have the threat of prison then they may do it .

Because I thought about it and it’s maybe but tbh for most I’d say incarceration is enough of a threat to not do heinous things

Has anyone noticed the change in the way people act especially with manners now compared too a few years ago ?

Ive especially noticed it with queuing, like at shops lots more people push in or actually as if the queue doesnt exist and a decrease in manners seems crazily obvious and usally people blame it on the younger generation becoming ignorant but its not only us surprisingly im noticing old brits as well doing it and also its not only foreign born people or people of non British heritage its also white British people of British ancestory . Just seems liek everyone's becoming much less respectful and no single minority can be blamed

Edit: i do know i used ignorant incorrectly but I couldn't think of a word that worked better

I feel as if surgery is guaranteed but I know one wrong thing and it's not happening .

So i am soon getting tests for surgery and am really hoping to get it so I can live a mostly normal life but I always feel as if im guaranteed to get it but I know that one wrong thing and it means I can't get surgery but I font think I could willingly live or atleast live normally on medication and knowing I still have it , my life will be so limited to what I wanted to do , wanted to travel the world and pursue a career in politics , the career is still possilbe but the travelling is basically impossible on medication , so many countries taking medications into is basically impossible and the access to medical care is basically impossible , I wanan travel to every country but I doubt I can take my medication to Afghanistan, Syria, etc , also the medical care doesnf exist and travel insurance to places like that and places like Venezuela, parts of Mexico, dr congo , etc is impossible and it just feels so much i wanted and expected to be able to do is gone or severley restricted or much harder to do and some is so hard to do and woukd take so mcuh tkem and now will take much much longer
