gaimous weight?

how does gaimou have the same great generals weight like renpa has while also not believing in the same romanticization and “luster” that ouki believed in?

why did ousen stop this gimmick

used to be scouting like it was the nba draft now he just don’t give a shit anymore😭

u/Sensitive_Ad_7250 — 4 days ago

doesn’t this silhouette look like nagumo?

it obviously isn’t nagumo but maybe a relative ? i feel like it’s a little late for it to matter but who knows maybe it’ll be revealed at the very end on some jjk shit

what was the point of the chapter with shin and hisui

neither hisui nor her city are mentioned again
this is the first time i’ve ever read a filler manga chapter it was not bad but it was quite useless.

do you think hara is sick of kingdom?

i’ve been rereading the earlier arcs (i’m at the end of sanyou now) and i’ve gotta say the tactics used to be very good.
everything from genpous smoke screen, ousens fortress , how ribokus information manipulation was portrayed , and even the little interactions between characters felt like they had more life than what we usually see
i mean when was the last time you saw an abstract tactic like that smoke screen genpou used in kingdom? i wanna say it’s been since the arc kanki died? or what about the fortresses from ousen that renpa compared to hakuki?

hara just doesn’t put as much thought into how he writes anymore. he needs to take a break for a few weeks and get back into his prime. this is the arc where the main antagonist riboku finally dies and it seems like nobody feels anything.

Do you think shin vs genpou is foreshadowing something?

honestly rereading sanyou arc i’m seeing how much love and care hara used to put into this story but that’s a talk for another day.

there are two ways i interpret this scene it is either A a critique of instinctual type generals who often use the lives of their soldiers as bridges to take the enemy commanders head, showing that their lives were truly just thrown away by a mad man with nothing to show for it.

the second way i interpret it would be that it’s foreshadowing for how a chu general(probably shouheikun or kou en) will defeat shin , being that shin will have a bunch of moments as an instinctual general, overcoming odds and enemy plans just to end up being routed by kou en and his sun bin tactic having to return to qin in shambles

moubu vs houken?

could moubu have beaten houken here? i think it depends on if you consider him to be great general tier atp.

what kind of general was ouki

ouki was capable of leading the front line and fighting enemy generals just like how your usual duke hyou instinctual brand generals could BUT he was also a tactical genius who was able to manipulate fuuki and make him sing to his tune, there are instinctual generals who would be capable of this like kei sha but oukis tactics have this refinement that i just don’t feel when i watched kei sha work, it’s something similar with renpa as well, i wish hara wrote more generals that were ambiguous between whether or not they’re instinctual or strategic now days its too clean cut.

shins 2nd wife

i know sei already had a child by her but i’m pretty sure the child is too far down the line of succession to matter and shin doesn’t seem like a picky guy, i think it’s a fun thought

u/Sensitive_Ad_7250 — 17 days ago

do the age gaps also bother you?

honestly we didn’t need the author possessing a comical amount of cp to know he was a pedophile

the manga is enough

kenshin is 28 while karou is 17

aoshi is 26 and misao is 16

etc etc

i still like the manga though but its kinda weird in of itself

how good were the 4 famous generals in real life?

the four famous generals are the 4 greatest generals of the warring states period: ousen riboku renpa and hakuki

i was wondering how they compare to other historical generals in china like han xin, xu da ,yue fei or zhuge liang
or even generals outside of china like nobunaga or alexander

did yall notice how everyone from zhao has similar hair color

either white or blonde if it’s not black

just look at this volume cover with all the zhao generals

i think this might be a zhao phenotype hara doesn’t draw many qin generals with hair like that

it makes me wonder if other states have specific phenotypes

i always imagined people from chu having tanner skin and people from wei having more colorful eyes but those are just head canons

Do you think we’ll ever see a full flashback of the battle of chouhei?

Probably not I think I remember it being a bad look for ouki but I could be wrong

Anyone else hate this gimmick?

I feel like if hara wanted to give shin armor he should’ve made the armor look extravagant and flashy

This would actually fit shin more than his whole “these old rags are good enough” gimmick because we literally know him and hyou used to fantasize about how generals would be and I find it hard to believe they’d be like “yeah twin the greatest generals probably wear the same rags as you and me!” In fact we know shins aware of how luxurious generals are bcs in the first chapter he tells shoubunkun that he’s gonna become a great general have lots of wives and a big house

It literally makes no sense for him to later be like I don’t give a shit about how dirty my rags are idek how they still fit him the man’s like 6 feet tall and still wears the rags from when he was like six years old!

Or who knows maybe there’s some character development I’m forgetting

Why does bepo look more like an animal than other minks

I’m rewatching one piece and I realized something

All the other minks look like a mix between their animal and a human but bepo just straight up looks like a bear☠️ is there a reason for that

u/Sensitive_Ad_7250 — 1 month ago

Do you think we’ll ever see sun tzu or sun bin?

It would be nice I think they were already mentioned in the arc kanki died and even earlier during sanyou arc i would like hara to put a face to them seeing as they’re the only generals that are mentioned that arent directly tied to the main story
