Warrior Within: Where is Kaileena in the present?

This is a lore question: The Prince only meets Kaileena when he goes back in time through the sand portal. But what I’m confused about is what exactly happened to Kaileena in the Prince’s present? After she created the sands of time: Did she die? Does she not exist anymore? Is she still alive residing somewhere in the Island of time?

Warrior Within remake has more potential - Open world sandbox?

Compared to the Sands of Time, I feel Warrior Within has the most potential for a remake. A fully explorable, semi free roam sandbox Island of Time where you can visit and experience different rooms of the Island, which you could already do to a small extent anyway. Enhancing this and you end up with a real competitor to Assassins Creed but it's still distinct and unique in the sense of loneliness, isolation, the Prince being alone on a massive huge Island with nightmarish sand monsters. The Dahaka chases become more intense, the weapon array and combat becomes wider, exploration becomes a new key theme.

Barty Crouch Sr apparently knew over 100 languages including Troll and Mermish

He held the no nonsense stance against Death Eaters bar his own son which ultimately led to his demise. A very unfortunate and sad end to a great potential Minister for Magic?

Played Shenmue 1 & 2 for the first time in my life - my experience

Never played Shenmue before I've now finished playing both games for the first time in my life. What an experience! So this is a review from someone who's entering the Shenmue universe new.

SHENMUE IS NOT A FIGHTING GAME!!! I can't stress this enough. If I were to describe it, I'd probably say it's a story based, retro simulation game with some fighting elements. It's an experience, you talk with people, you experience the scenery of Japan, Hong Kong, the music, the customs etc. Although the game is old keep that in mind, it was revolutionary for it's time.

You really need to integrate yourself in the environment and customs of East Asia to fully appreciate Shenmue, because a large chunk of it is about that. It's also quite slow paced, but I would say it wasn't too slow for me, I enjoy games with a bit of a slower pace. If you just want a beat em up game this isn't for you, it's a full on environmental experience. You have to integrate yourself in the Shenmue universe, the time period, the cities try to be accurate representation etc.

Now one great thing about Ryo is that he's like a bit of a blank canvas, he's kind and dedicated but he doesn't allow his personality to overshine through which means you find a way to relate to him through the gameplay. He's not a jock, he's not a bad boy, he's just a humble young guy, interested in martial arts coming from a family dedicated to Karate.

One criticism I do have was that I wish the lore got more interesting, they could've done plenty of plot twists with some of the characters Lan Di, Shenhua etc. But at the moment it all seems very vanilla in terms of the storyline. Revenge based essentially, it could be a lot more interesting if they really spiced up the plot with some twists.

Also recently I’ve seen people comparing Shenmue to Virtual Fighter which is really bizarre? They’re two completely different games unless I’m missing something here.

I'm waiting for the Shenmue III enhanced before I play it, I know there's a lot of negative things surrounding it but I'm going to give it a chance and see how I find it.

Will you have to have an active mic to play?

I’ve seen some gameplay on the YouTubes and it looks really incredible, but I’m not too big on using mic when I’m gaming. I don’t tend to be a big talker when I’m gaming. I feel this cuts out a reasonable number of gamers which don’t like to use mic when they’re gaming.

I know for the first Hell Let Loose you pretty much need a mic to be properly engaged. In Vietnam will it be more optional or will it still be a pretty big requirement? Are the developers making this more optional or is it still being heavily hinged upon?

I do feel there should be more movement to make the game more inclusive for people that don’t want to use mic but still enjoy the game.
