Anyone else botice the decline of good Uber Black drivers?

Ive heard from lots of riders that they have been pretty upset with their Uber Black drivers because they no longer do the extra service that make Black what it is, such as opening the doors for their customers, helping/offering to help with bags, not treating their fares as racecars (I noticed this one, I took a black car to an event and my driver was racing the entire way there, jerky acceleration with hard stops).

Some of my regulars said they no longer use Uber Black because they are paying double for the same kind of ride they would get as if they paid for an X.

Any other drivers here the same kind of thing from their riders? My area is greater seattle.

For those who are confused on what Uber Black is, its not just a nicer car. Its billed as a premium tier Black Car service on-demand, driven by licensed commercial drivers (some states require a chauffeur's license for example). Its also the gateway to Uber Elite (not the same as lyft elite, which is a drivers reward program.)

Edit: Judging by peoples responses, I can see why my passengers are complaining. BTW, the only thing this post asked was, have you heard your riders complain like I have about what Black has turned into. I was just trying to find out if its just my market area, or a nationwide issue.

Hotels are being filled with non-union engineers

I know this is just speculation, but over the last week I had to stay in hotels while we had the wood floors redone and every hotel between Everett and Lynnwood was booked. I was forced to spend half the week at the Hilton in Lynnwood and the other at the Marriott in lynnwood as none could put me up for the entire week. The one thing both had in common were they were filled with brown badge engineers in town for training, and how they hopped the strike would last for a long time.

It looks like Boeing is getting ready for a long strike and seems to have remembered the pain the last speea strike caused the company in the 90's.

A point of view that is different is not wrong nor is it right. Its just a difference of opinion. If you don't like what someone is saying, either don't read their posts or create your own.

ASUS just lost another lifelong customer....Ally X total garbage.

I have been a ROG fan since the brand was born. For a long time their prices and customer support were far better than Alienware...and then dell when they were bought out.

I started to sour on the Ally, it had many issues, but for what it was, it wasnt horrible. 1st gens are never perfect. I figured the Ally X would have fixed most the issue, and for the most part, they did. The only thing they didnt fix was their ROG ecosystem issue, where the Ally doesnt play nice with other devices.

For example, I just recently bought the ROG xreal R1 glasses. For the most part they are much better then my viture beats and pros. Only problem is, they dont work as advertised with the Ally X.

I plug them in, and armory crate detects them and says to download the drivers. I did ...armory crate still keeps telling me to update to use them, and now my CDC-ECM drivers give a ! in device manager and their is no way to download the drivers to manually install them. They are not on the Ally X's page, nor the R1's page.

I decided to contact tech support, they said since I didnt buy it direct, they dont offer product support. Contact the retailer...who in this case is best buy...and btw it was an automated message so I couldt tell anyone all I need is a link to the driver....sigh......so of course BB said its a driver issue, not a warranty issue so I should contact Asus. Told them I tried, and they wont even talk to me, their system blocks me from even opening a support ticket because the device was sold at BB.

Well, best buy said I could pay $300 dollars for a tech to look at...and it would take 1-2 weeks.

Tldr; I just spent a little over 2k on ROG gear after taxes, have a simple driver question and asus refuses to help. Company has gone to garbage. After more than a decade of buying ROG products, from video cards, laptops and other gear...im done. Going back to buying "white box" parts for mine and my clients pc's.

The recovery package is pretty disappointing with its crappy 5-8 min butt "massages"

I was kinda happy when 24 hour fitness announced they were adding a recovery room with massage chairs. I had this image of what planet fitness has, very nice chairs that hug your body and give it a very nice, full massage......man was I disappointed. For 20 bucks a month you can get access to a chair that looks like one of the high end massage chairs, but only has 5 options that im guessing were originally store demo modes. Their is no targeted massages, no selection on what body area to focus on and no style selection.

I don't know if its the company that makes the chairs or if its 24 hour fitness's settings, but what these chairs do is most definitely not what you would expect. They do feel nice for the 5-8 minutes the programs run for but all the programs they let you select mainly focus on lower back/ass. If you try and run the programs more than once, the chair runs them for shorter and short periods of time (i could understand if they did this because there was a high demand, but the recovery room is always empty).

I would love to be able to select shiatsu on lower back and shoulders, run for 40 mins and just zone (the amount of time that is recommend by physical therapists). Overall the recovery package is not worth the extra charge.

Just me or the support team for Private worse then normal?

I had to RMA my pixel 9 a bit ago got a 10 in its place, so of course it had none of my old data on it. Today I went to make a purchase using my USDC, and my old passkey that was on my 9 still shows in the app so I couldnt do it. It just gave an error about the passkey was not available (make sense since it was never on this phone).

Yesterday:

So I went to the settings to add a new one...I couldn't because it wanted my passcode that didn't exist. So naturally I went to support, clicked chat now. I told the guy that I needed the passkey removed from my account, told him what was going on.

As you can see in the picture, he thought I meant passcode...after letting him know it was the passkey, not code I had issues with and explaining it, specifically stating its not the code to unlock the app and such I am having issues with, but the passkey.

He gave no acknowledgement that he understood. He just said, I already did that please wait. So again, I kindly asked are you sure we are on the same page? He again said I put in a ticket. I already told you.

So I waited and waited....all while missing out on the purchase I was trying to make (Due to this I lost the ability to buy the purchase I was trying to make as it was a time bid.)

When he came back. He said it was done...and linked the instructions page on how to change my passcode.

Today:

3rd agent and phone support (should have called 1st, now I know) I finally have had the passkey removed. All the online agents did was show me how to change my passcode.

I dont get why crypto.com doesn't hire people who have a better grasp on the language for the area they are supporting. I have had many many issues with them, and the higher tiers with their own "dedicated support" seems to be worse then the general support.

Has anyone else had issue? What gets you the best results when working with their support
