[WP] Everyone in the world, on their 21st birthday, receives a letter with their eventual date of death written in it, in a red envelope. No one knows where it comes from, and the dates are always accurate. On your 21st birthday, you receive the same letter, only to find it blank.

First time posting anything here, but I had an idea that I wanted to toss out there.

Timer-based space game?

I played a game back at a convention in early 2020 (yep, right before pandemic problems hit) and I'm trying to remember the name of it. Here's what I do remember:

It's a cooperative game for at least two people. The theme is that we're working to build a base on another planet/moon. The board is a series of tiles, each with colored routes from one edge of the tile to another; some boards have factories that produce resource pieces, or have a destination for such pieces to go to. The objective is to get enough resources to their destinations before time is up. The catch is that each player is assigned one or more colors, and players can only move pieces along routes that match their color - so, one route might start blue, then connect to the green route on the next tile, and then finally follow a yellow route on the destination tile; the blue player would take the piece from the factory and put it on the edge of the next tile, the green player would take that piece and move it to the edge of that tile, and then yellow would take the piece and put it in the destination.

The game had several different scenarios that got progressively more difficult and complicated, and I believe part of moving the resources around caused more tiles to be laid out mid-game. I also remember that players weren't allowed to speak during the game (though each game had a few rounds; when the timer ran out, the round ended, players couldn't touch pieces any more but they could discuss strategy before starting the next round.)

[TOMT][1990s][Book of mazes] Looking for a book I remember from childhood that had a bunch of unique mazes.

Back when I was little, my parents got me a book of full-color illustrated mazes. These weren't simple "follow the path" mazes however; every single maze had a special rule that had to be followed as you solve it, along with a little story of why you're navigating such a unique maze. Some examples of the mazes that I can remember:

-You're trapped in a cave while skiing. Certain spots in the cave have either a freezing draft, or steam from a hot geyser, marked as red or blue sections of the path. You can't go through two red or two blue sections in a row; your path has to alternate between red and blue.

-Your new smart car has an electrical short, and cannot turn left. Additionally, a chemical leak in the city will short your car again if you drive over it, making left turns possible but preventing right turns; driving over it again will reverse the swap. You need to figure out how to get to the garage so they can fix the car.

-Someone has sabotaged your trampoline act by changing the tension of each trampoline. This "maze" is a grid with numbers; each time you move, you have to jump in a straight line to another space; the number on the space you're leaving is how many spaces you jump across (so if you move onto a 2, your next move has to be exactly 2 spaces in any direction, and so on). You need to get to the finish space to complete your act.

There were a bunch of other unique mazes; I'll try to remember more examples and post them.

Slip-on shoes for retail work

I work retail, 40 hours/week on concrete floors and flat feet. Looking for slip-on shoes as I can never feel like I get lace shoes comfortable for long enough. Problem is, I've got big feet (current shoes are size 13, 4E width), and finding shoes that are durable and large enough for me is proving difficult. Any advice what brands (and preferably, specific shoes) I should look for?

My current keyboard is going out, and I'm looking at Corsair for a replacement. Problem is, the current keyboard has a pass-through USB port which is ideal for playing games with a controller for my setup. The K70 Core keyboard looks like one I want, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have that extra USB port. Is there a similar keyboard that does have the pass-through USB?

(Specifically, I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard with a numpad for gaming; the wrist rest on the K70 Core is nice but not necessary.)
