Lower heart rate day after Adrenaline surge?

I had a pretty bad adrenaline surge the other night, now today my heart rate has been a lot lower today.. 40-50’s even sitting up. I didn’t check what was standing.. but usually my ours ring says I’m stressed and it’s said I’m relaxed all day. Anyone experience this before?

VNS implant for POTS?

My doctor mentioned this as a possible option if others don’t work.. he said he has a patient similar to me that has been improving since getting it done.

Has anyone heard of this?

Does my doctors response make sense to you? I feel like my issue is being ignored

Prior to this he put me on metoprolol as needed if my HR goes over 100 and I have palpitations.. but in previous messages I keep saying I think fludricortisone would be good. And that I think my big issue is being dehydrated when I wake up..

This was my original message

Okay, I mean I’m definitely up for having that incase I have an episode where my heart rate starts going really high.. but for the most part I’d say my biggest concern/issue is that it’s like I restart every day.. by the afternoon I’m finally hydrated enough where my heart rate seems to be in a good spot and I feel okay moving around. I finally start feeling like myself. Then by 1am I’m feeling the vibrations in my body, I chug electrolytes, it goes away.. then when I wake up for the day I have to start all over again trying to get myself back to a good spot. The mornings my standing will be 120ish, by the time it’s afternoon I’m hydrated and compressions I can get it to high 70-80s. So the hydration and compression seems like it’s massive.. is there anything we can do so that it’s not always starting over every day?
Or is this something that will slowly get better?
I have no idea what to expect

His response two weeks later-

Noted.
Would give the metoprolol a trial for a month and if it does not work we will consider alternative therapy.

Thank You!
XX MD

** I have forwarded your new additional messages to him regarding your recent ER visit. Once I have a response, I will forward it to you.

Thank you.

How long does it take for your cardiologist to message you back?

It’ll take a week or two to hear back from my cardiologist on MyChart and I’m wondering if I’m being too patient.. the nurse tells me “just be patient “ but idk if that’s normal

Have you ever had a patient develop dysautonomia/POTS after tooth surgery?

I had wisdom tooth surgery, (no anesthesia, just shots in my gums), I also ended up having a gingival scaling that day, and a filling. Everything went really smoothly! But after a week or two I got REALLY tired, a week long migraine, (I get chronic migraines so I wasn’t concerned), and just increasingly tired from little chores.. a few weeks later I was in the ER resting HR is normally 50s mine was 100, sitting up was 120, standing was 140.
Since then I’ve been diagnosed with dysautonomia / Possibly POTS. But no idea why.. the only thing I can think of is the wisdom tooth removal.

What do you do to keep yourself occupied?

I usually watch tv with my husband before bed, but since all this happened it’s like my brain gets overwhelmed by the TV and I start to have anxiety.. so I was wondering if anyone else gets this and if so what you do to stop it or other things you do?

My b12 is 351, recently diagnosed with dysautonomia

Out of no where I got incredibly weak, nauseas, had panic attacks and waking up screaming. Heart rate jumps when I stand, hard time eating, and insomnia.. it’s gotten better over the last few weeks but what keeps jumping out at me is my b12 being 351.. I’m wondering if that is the cause. I was fine before this. This all started 6-7 weeks ago. I noticed increased fatigue prior, but very small amounts. Then it hit like a wall once I got my wisdom teeth removed and couldn’t eat or drink much then had tons of diarrhea.
My doctor said my labs are normal. But I’ve noticed that my number is in the gray area so I was considering asking for an MMA and homocysteine.. I’m just wondering if anyone has had anything like this or if they could be connected

Trying to find a way to be a paid caregiver for wife

My wife is currently undergoing disability approval with a lawyer, while also having more health issues pop up.. because of this I’ve decided I need to be with her full time. She has no other friends/family to help her and rightfully so she is horrified.
I’m trying to figure out how I can continue to bring in an income for us while taking care of her.. we live in Illinois. We applied for IHSS then I realized spouses can’t be paid.
Any suggestions?

Almost passed out giving depo shot

I’ve given myself the depo shot a few times before.. I have no issue with needles. But this is the first time doing it with POTS. I put the needle in and immediately heard ringing, my head got heavy and flush and warm, I felt like I was going to pass out.. my husband held me and I had him check my blood pressure. 94/57
I took some salt pills, additional salt and honey in my mouth and now it’s back to normal.

Anyone experience this? What the heck??

Does anyone else constantly crash out at the same time every day?

It seems like every day around 3-4pm I hit a wall and I’m toast for the day. (I wake at 4-5am & go to bed at 8pm) I’m wondering if this happens to everyone else & if there is a way to avoid it.

Does anyone have a caregiver through the state?

I saw that it’s an option with Medicaid to apply for a caregiver, my husband is going to leave his job to help take care of me and we saw he could potentially become my caregiver.. has anyone else done this?

How long did it take you to stabilize?

How long did it take you to stabilize with high sodium and water? To get the full benefits from it and start to do better?

Anyone else on high sodium intake?

What’s your intake and how do you make sure to reach it? I’m on 8-10g sodium & it’s just constant forcing.

Also curious if any of you have been able to go down on your sodium or if you always have to stay at a high amount..

If you feel like sharing your sodium intake success stories I’d love that also.. how long it took for improvement

Anxiety and Carbs?

I’ve noticed if I eat carbs I get really bad anxiety, my heart rate even ends up being higher for a while.. I had carbs for dinner and my HR was higher and my sleep was worse.
I remember having a macaroon last week before bed and this happened also.
Anyone else have this?

fludrocortisone Success stories??

Let me have them! I seem to react well to high sodium intake (8-10g sodium daily), compression stockings, and want to ask my doctor about fludrocortisone. I think I’m hypovolemic..

how does depo shots effect you?

I’m due for my shot next week and I’m nervous about how it’ll affect me. Does it make you worse? Flare? I’ve been on depo for almost 9 months and this will be my first shot after having developed POTS.
