To get to the keys from the back (for cleaning), is it expected to desolder the board?

Any idea where one can find these smaller foutprint caps with large values or can these two replaced with one?

All the caps I can find with this capacity are around 35mmx60mm, and I need around 20mmx45mm to fit in the same space. Parker screwdriver…

Got this for free as it was not working, opened it and found the usual suspect of battery damage. Gave it the vinegar treatment, washed and treated with IPA and then sealed with nail varnish.

Now working but I hope the corrosion does not creep further as I did not dare clean across the tracks.

Any advice how to clean between the tracks?

Final readings, including vertical positions😁. Hope to see the same in a few months🥴.

Managed to clean, assemble and do pivot oiling, pallet jewel and escape wheel still to be Epilame’ed and oiled but happy with the initial readings!

Vertical positions not great yet, hope final prep and oil will improve those as well.

Hi all, some time that I have been active here, just like to share my pleasant surprise when opening an old Anker watch, with mentioned movement.

I have openen many older watches but this is a first that I expect has not been opened or worked on. The lack of grease or oil is actually a little concerning, looking at the keyless works, it is sparkling clean with no sign of wear or lube!?
