Estate Sale pickup

Got the following lot this weekend for $35 US. The spokesman is a Stanley No.63. The Torpedo level is a Stanley No. 259. There are no markings on either gauge or the plough plane. Also, there is no iron on the plane.

The brass thing looks like a throw-in. I think it's a letter opener. It says, "With best wishes of the Abheuser Busch Inc." And has somebody's signature on it. Looks like J. Carroll.

If any can I'd the plane or tenon gauges, I'd appreciate it.

Edge banding question

I am using 3/4" oak plywood for a project and bought some edge banding match. I've got two questions.

  1. Do you apply the edge banding before assembly when possible/practical?

  2. When assembling, do you try to compensate for the thickness of the edge banding when it's a butt joint. In other words, if I join the two pieces before banding and they are perfectly flush when I apply the banding, it will be somewhat proud of the adjoining surface.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Glass doors

Recently completed some cabinet doors to match the current kitchen cabinets. I am thinking about some more cabinets for another area and wanted to do 5 piece-doors again, but this time with glass panels. Do I need different cope and stile bits or will the current do without any future issues?

TIA.

Rolling Drawer/Front wheels

Has anybody come up with a set of front wheels specifically for the rolling drawer that anybody knows of?

Hudson Valley NY Woodworkers

Has anybody out there in the above area ever used Ghent wood products? I am looking for a good hardwood dealer in the area.

It's a bit of a hike from where I am, so I wanted to know if anyone has used them. If so, I could use some insight on quality and pricing.

TIA

I was just just wondering what you guys think is the best trim for a shiplap wall. It's on a single wall about 6.5 feet across and just over 7' tall at the bottom of the staircase in a raised ranch and will be visible as you come in the front door. It will be the only wall done in shiplap unless my wife falls in love with it somehow. She's a little iffy right now. So I gotta nail this sucker. I'm thinking flat stock, but then the base won't match the res of the area. TIA
