D.Mon doesn't at all feel like she has THE MOST HEALTH of any Hero in the entire game

She ties with Roadhog for total amount, but with a significant portion of her health being armor, she actually comes out on top. Her health pool is so enormous, in fact, that she can survive a point-blank Death Blossom without her barrier with nearly half her health- seriously, go try it in the practice range.

So why does it feel like she gets deleted in 0.2 seconds by a Mercy unless she has both supports attached at her hips 24/7? She's literally THE tankiest hero in the entire game, so why does she die so quickly?

What comps does Juno NOT work in?

I feel like Juno is a hero that just kind of blends into whatever she's played with extraordinarily well, it feels like there's really no bad team to run her on, but what are your thoughts?

Forget weapon recommendations, what is the WORST combination (excluding bad elemental matchups)?

No cheating and saying something like "Shock Coil vs Scrapped Watchman," it needs to be a combo that's genuinely just unusable against any random enemy you put in front of it.

Who is your "Icepick" character on each role?

I.C.E. is an acronym for "In Case of Emergency," and an Icepick hero is a Hero you pick "in case of emergency."

Whether you're being locked down by the enemy team's picks, or your main is banned, or you're having an off game, or your team just isn't doing anything to support you, a good Icepick Hero is someone you can switch to whenever you need to and get results.

For example, my current Support main is Juno, but my Icepick main is Moira, on whom I have a 3.14 lifetime K/D and ~3,400 healing per 10. No matter what kind of game I'm having, if everything is going wrong, I can pull out Moira and get something done.

What about all of you? What are your Icepicks on each role?

Since people have been sharing Code Lyoko OCs, here's one I came up with after hearing about Season 5

NAME: Ebenezer Standish

AGE: 16 (one month younger than Yumi)

NATIONALITY: American Foreign Exchange Student

APPEARANCE - EARTH:

Ebenezer wears a two-tone red and white hoodie with a blue zipper, with dark blue jeans and black running shoes. He is the spitting image of a corn-fed American boy, with dirty blonde hair and a muscular build with an impressive height of 6 feet (183 cm).

APPEARANCE - LYOKO:

On Lyoko, Ebenezer takes on the appearance of an eighteenth-century Colonial Minuteman, with a blue jacket and white pants. His weapon, the Aegis, is a gold-colored arm-mounted collapsable shield.

PERSONALITY:

Ebenezer is perhaps the most well-rounded member of the group: while not as smart as Jeremy and Aelita, not as physically capable as Ulrich or Yumi, and not as social as Odd or Sissi, he is competent in all three of those fields, usually beating each of the other members in the other two.

He appreciates American cuisine like burgers and root beer, and wants to work in law when he grows up. He is also used to American decadence, and misses technology like microwaves, washers & dryers, and air conditioning that are less common in France.

Ebenezer is a multimedia buff who frequently quotes books, movies, shows, and video games- anything from Shakespeare to 12 Angry Men to The Simpsons to Halo. His usual tone is more sarcastic and conversational, however, and he'll often match the inflection of what he's quoting to ensure people know he's quoting something.

STORY:

Ebenezer is the tenth-great grandson of Captain Myles Standish of the Mayflower voyage, and lives with Jeremy as a Foreign Exchange Student. While he is concerned about Jeremy's occasional night terrors, he doesn't prod further when Jeremy tells him the matter is a secret. Soon after starting at Kadic, he and Yumi enter the school's martial arts tournament (with Ulrich sitting out to cheer Yumi on from the sidelines), where Ebenezer is the only student to score a point against Yumi, doing so with an “unbelievably stupid” flying back kick.

Shortly after X.A.N.A.’s rebirth is discovered, X.A.N.A. possesses Ulrich to lead Sissi and Ebenezer to the supercomputer with the goal of virtualizing both of them to be captured by the Scyphozoa, as was done to William. This would have given X.A.N.A. two warriors that Jeremy would have had a difficult time cloning, and could have even gotten Ulrich as a third. Though Sissi is suspicious when Ulrich completes a Shakespearean quote started by Ebenezer, the two follow his directions and instructions.

Ebenezer and Sissi are both virtualized successfully and fight various monsters, but Ebenezer doesn't believe Ulrich when he says the Scyphozoa is a good thing after it captures Sissi, and he is able to use a special attack to defeat the Scyphozoa and free Sissi before using his Killbind ability to devirtualize himself, call Jeremy for backup, and fight the possessed Ulrich until the other Lyoko Warriors arrive.

Because of their having been scanned and virtualized, and thus being immune to the effects of Return to the Past, the Lyoko Warriors are essentially forced to allow the two into their ranks, but nobody is particularly happy about it. As a result, Ebenezer constantly tries to prove his worth to the team and ensure they don't regret him being one of them.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Jeremy: As a “host brother” and roommate, Ebenezer actually gets along with Jeremy quite well, being smart enough to converse with Jeremy without becoming an intellectual rival. While Jeremy tries to teach him some coding from time to time, these efforts are ultimately in vain. Jeremy's tendency to overthink is contrasted nicely by Ebenezer's more simplistic problem-solving approach.

Yumi: Shortly after Ebenezer starts at Kadic, a martial arts tournament is held where Yumi wins four of her five rounds 7-0, with her round against Ebenezer being the only round she wins 7-1 instead: this is due to Ebenezer using a flying back kick, a move he later describes as being so stupid that an intelligent martial artist like Yumi would never have considered it. While Yumi was familiar with Ebenezer in passing before this incident, this was their first true interaction, and as a result the two form a friendly rivalry across various fields.

Ulrich: While their relationship is somewhat soured by the circumstances surrounding how Ebenezer joined the Lyoko Warriors, Ebenezer is pushed to be an even more reliable ally because of this, resulting in the two being largely amicable towards each other. While a younger Ulrich would have been jealous of his friendship with Yumi, this older and wiser Ulrich is fine with his company.

Odd: With both of them being film and writing buffs with vastly different temperaments, these two constantly butt heads, though neither bear any ill will towards each other. Like with Yumi, Ebenezer has a rivalry with Odd where they pass scripts and prose to each other to try and improve each other's work. Odd also insists his shield is better than Ebenezer's.

Aelita: Aelita appreciates Ebenezer's ability to resolve disputes among the Lyoko Warriors, and with his abilities making the Scyphozoa less of a threat, she feels much safer with him on Lyoko. The two are also competitive with their grades, giving Ebenezer a third rivalry within the group.

William: Ebenezer becomes the biggest proponent of William rejoining the group, as his ability to defeat the Scyphozoa leaves William at much less risk of being captured again. While it still takes time for the group to be willing to let him fight by their side again, William appreciates what Ebenezer does for him.

Sissi: Being the two newcomers gives Ebenezer and Sissi something to bond over, and while their personalities conflict fiercely, they trust each other as confidants. Ebenezer takes to the role faster than Sissi does, but tries to also help her get up to speed.

ABILITIES - EARTH:

-Martial Arts: Ebenezer knows Kickboxing and a little Jiu Jitsu, with lesser combat technique than Yumi or Ulrich but supplemented with a more scrappy style and greater mass. He struggles in point sparring due to frequent resets preventing him from warming up, but excels in continuous sparring where he can build up momentum as his opponents tire themselves out.

-Logic and rhetoric: While Jeremy is more capable as a man of numbers, Ebenezer is very adept at puzzling things out and at arbitration, having enough in common with each other member to understand both sides in most instances. Additionally, while Jeremy is able to come up with complex plans that are nearly guaranteed to work, Ebenezer comes up with simple, elegant solutions that are likely to work. He is also an admirable public speaker.

-Literature: The only subject where he beats both Jeremy and Aelita, Ebenezer will frequently quote literature in casual conversation, whether famous or more obscure.

-Singing: Having sung in choirs, Ebenezer is an excellent tenor singer, though he rarely goes out of his way to show this talent.

-Eating: Ebenezer is a much bigger eater than anyone else in the group, even managing to outdo Odd.

ABILITIES - LYOKO:

-Aegis: A shield mounted on Ebenezer's right arm that blocks attacks without using Life Points. Stronger attacks will demand more exertion from Ebenezer to block, and he can also use the shield as a weapon.

-Little Feller: By punching with the Aegis, Ebenezer can launch Little Feller, an autonomous drone that moves like a spinning top. It has 60 Life Points, and regenerates Life Points every time it hits a monster. Little Feller and Ebenezer are linked in such a way as to effectively give Ebenezer telekinetic control over Little Feller, serving as Ebenezer's primary method of ranged combat and turning most fights into a 2v1.

-Killbind: Activated by voice command accompanied with a strike to his own chest, Ebenezer is instantly devirtualized regardless of his current Life Point total.

-Here I Raise My Ebenezer: A Once-Per-Virtualization attack that requires Little Feller AND Ebenezer be active at the same time, with Ebenezer activating the ability with his voice shouting its name before Little Feller launches upward and crashes into the target, dealing 32,000 Life Points of damage- enough to instantly destroy the Scyphozoa or even the Kolossus. The word Ebenezer means “Stone of Help,” with Little Feller taking on the role of said “stone” in this attack.

TRIVIA:

-His favorite superhero is Captain America.

-His favorite monster is the Megatank.

-He once solved a Rubik's Cube in 21 seconds, but is out of practice and could not recreate the feat in front of the Lyoko Warriors. Fortunately, everyone but Yumi takes his word for it.

-Because Sissi had previously been allowed into the group before being kicked out, Ebenezer is technically the only new member of the group to have never been voted in, instead becoming an ally by circumstance.

-Here I Raise My Ebenezer becomes a focal point of X.A.N.A.'s strategies moving forward, as he is unable to safely utilize the Scyphozoa until the threat of the attack is removed. This takes the form of trying to bait out the attack against another monster, keeping Ebenezer out of Lyoko entirely, or taking him out before the Scyphozoa hits the field. This all takes a lot of pressure off of Yumi.

Code Lyoko Season 5 English Voice Cast Wishlist

I wanted to make a video with example voice lines to show each of these off, but X.A.N.A. (or Microsoft, take your pick) is making my video editor refuse these reference images completely, so I'll just post those here and let everyone else do their own research to agree with me- I may or may not be able to put them together with sound bytes at some later date, but this will work for now

To spoil the last slide, I spent like an hour on Jim when the rest of these took me 1-15 minutes apiece, and I just came up with absolutely nothing so he just gets his old one

Probably most proud of my Odd, Yumi, and William castings, with Jeremy my logic is "well the actor probably aged out of playing Young Sheldon and aged into playing Jeremy," I don't really have a modern role of his to show my work but that's the theory

How do I get a Razor Fang into my copy of Scarlet?

Here's the situation:

My brother and I have a Switch Lite and a Switch, and also own both Scarlet AND Violet

However, the DLC my brother owns is only for Scarlet and only on the Switch Lite

I'm playing through the game for the first time on Scarlet, and he traded me a Gligar egg near the start of the game from his Violet

But he can't access the Razor Fang in his Pokémon Violet, and we can't both be in Scarlet at the same time

So my question is, how could he get a Razor Fang from his Pokémon Scarlet into my Pokémon Scarlet?

Ychu might break the dominant threats in Champions

Ychu has very good matchups into common meta staples right now like Yard, Aero, and Basc, and even has favorable matchups into other mons like Kingambit, so we might see a lot of decentralization just because of the threat of Ychu into teams made up of these Pokémon.

We might also see Pokémon that have been slept on so far become viable in response to it: MegaLop always outspeeds and OHKOs with Close Combat, Gliscor both counters it and works well as a teammate to cover opposing Sneasler and Garchomp, and there's probably even more I'm missing off the top of my head.

I'm actually pretty excited to see Ychu come to Champions, in spite of how busted it is on paper. Here's hoping it doesn't regain access to Sing!

New Move: Battle of Wits

This move essentially combines Fake Out and Toxic, not quite having the strengths of both despite having all of the drawbacks and then some.

Pokémon that ordinarily lack Fake Out pressure, want to immunize themselves to Sleep, need a held item to reliably activate their Poison-based ability, or are immune to the major downside of this move may not always use this move, but would greatly appreciate the option- even if it isn't being run, the threat of it alone can alter how an opponent plays and open up the option they elected to use instead.

The concept and name are a reference to The Princess Bride.

It's crazy to me that Gliscor was banned earlier in SV OU

Generation 9 SV OU was the generation where:

-Ice types were probably the best they've ever been, even ignoring the fact that literally anything could Tera Ice or Tera Water

-Gliscor was on its sixth generation, and about 15 years old at this point

-Gliscor LOST a recovery move (Roost) AND an OHKO move (Guillotine)

And Gliscor STILL managed to get banned to Ubers with a BST of 510

That's why he's the GOAT

From testing on the map Arid, the map seems to be about ~640m from edge to center, and from YouTuber The Bread Pirate's calculations, I was able to map a square of that size onto Breath of the Wild's map and place it over the Great Plateau to find that the entire area fit into the Forge template with room to spare.

If no one's remaking The Great Plateau in Forge yet, I'd be really curious to see someone try! It's a bit outside my own wheelhouse, I'm more comfortable with Halo 4's Forge mode myself, but I figured I would put the idea out there!

I feel like Nidoking matches up pretty well into all three- unless Basc is running a Choice Scarf, Nido outspeeds and kills with Thunderbolt, which is certainly weaker with Life Orb not being in the game yet but is still pretty good with Sheer Force.

What do you all think?
