Caribbean cruise recommendation for busy itineraries?

Partner and I are not big cruise people but did the pride of America cruise through Hawaii and found it a great way to see each island in a single trip. We would eat an early breakfast on the ship, get off as soon as they dock, and return before last call. We would only be on the ship to sleep, shower, and eat a quick breakfast.

Any recommendations for similar cruises in the Caribbean? Looking for:

-cruises with fewer amenities since we won’t be taking advantage of them
-limited at sea days
-ideally, ports that are fun to explore (we’ve been to Nassau on separate vacations and remember it not being great)

E-bike recommendation for short commute and casual use

New to e-bikes and largely biking in general. I just moved to a walkable suburb with access to paved public parks and gravel paths nearby. Looking for a good all-rounder bike to use recreationally (likely never more than 15 miles at a time), to commute with (4 miles on steep hills), and maybe haul a few bags of groceries

I received a $400 voucher from my city to go towards the purchase of any e-bike but I’m trying not to break the bank. I’m not a super strong cyclist either so hoping to find something to ease into the hobby

Speaker recommendation solely for drowning out neighbor’s bass - sound quality irrelevant

Recently moved into an apartment that is a block away from a nightclub. Didn’t cross my mind that being that far away I would hear the bass travel through hundreds of feet of pavement to my room, but here we are.

Looking for a speaker large enough to produce its own bass that’s deep enough to cover outside noise ( I have two of the smaller pill-shaped portable speakers but they don’t cut it). Also preferable for it to be AirPlay and/or WiFi-enabled as well. Biggest caveat: this doesn’t need to be a high quality speaker, I don’t care about sound quality, just need low enough hz. Budget is in the \~$300 range

Budget is in the ~$300 range

Suggestions for a Utah fossil-hunting trip for my dad?

I recently moved to Utah and found out there are a ton of fossil digging spots across the state. My father is visiting this summer and is a massive fossil fan (I’m not so much, for reference). I wanted to surprise him with going to one of these spots but I’m unsure of what exactly to plan - would one of the dig it yourself places where you chisel at precut pieces of shale be too boring? Should I look into a guided tour that goes into public land to dig? Leaning away from just hitting the road ourselves without tools or expertise to know what to look for

Any advice is appreciated

How are restaurants informed of refunds?

Have had a string of bad luck with a few restaurants giving only 25%-50% of the expected value of the bag. I’ve contacted customer service for a proportional refund a few of these times. At one of these places in particular I’m almost positive it’s a misunderstanding that they believe they need to reach only the $10 price of the bag, and not the $30 expected value.

Do restaurants get dinged for this, or do they just get notified of a refund? If so are they told the reason for the refund so they can change in the future?

Chase Recon line said to wait for decision in mail - further phone escalations I can do?

Applied for a Chase cobranded card yesterday and went to pending immediately. Called this morning and the automated system said 2 weeks to let me know. Received a voicemail from the fraud department to confirm identity - called back and after ~10 minutes was told a final decision would be mailed to me in 1-2 weeks. I asked if there was any additional info I could provide (it almost certainly went to pending because I moved states in the last month) and they said to wait for the mail correspondence which may contain the card.

Any further numbers to call to get an approval pushed through, or do I indeed need to wait for the mail for next steps? Was hoping to put spend on the card in the next week or so
