Would you like to search your Ancestry Shoebox? Now, you can search, sort, and filter your Ancestry Shoebox within a Chrome browser tab with Shoebox Plus Organizer.

If you've used Ancestry's Shoebox for any real length of time, you already know the problem: once you've saved a few hundred records, there's no way to search them, sort them, or filter them. Just an endless scroll, 25 records at a time. This has been a recurring complaint among genealogists for years.

As a former Research Manager for Ancestry's research arm, AncestryProGenealogists, I heard both colleagues and clients voice this common frustration. So I built a fix: Shoebox Plus Organizer, a Chrome extension that loads every page of your Shoebox in the background, then empowers you to search, sort chronologically or alphabetically, and filter by record type — right on the page, entirely on your own device. Nothing is scraped or sent anywhere, and it never touches Ancestry any faster than you clicking through by hand.
