Artwork for my baby
Hello! I have a 10 month old daughter and had the idea of buying one piece of art per year of life so she can have a collection. Ideally I start off with a 1000 budget so nothing too fancy! Any leads on an artist?

Located in Querétaro, Mexico I have a baby and we sleep on a floor bed.
Okay, my baby girl (9 months) is a weirdo. We co-sleep from the beginning and she is BF and fed to sleep most nights (sometimes she prefers rocking).
She has recently discovered the joy of sleeping on her tummy and after reading all advice, I thought it was safe to let her, we are on a firm mattress in a floor bed.
Now, when she’s falling asleep she rolls over, sits down and then crawls over to my breast and slams herself flat on her tummy and tries to feed that way.
I know the advice is for them to sleep on their back and let them roll if they do so by themselves but I wanted to see it through and she was asleep on her tummy in 3 minutes!
Is this unsafe? Anyone else has a strange baby trying new poses while BF to sleep?
Dear friends,
I am a foreigner who called Sri Lanka home for over three years and loved it and it’s people.
I returned from my maternity leave in April and rented a place in Colombo for me and my baby (I am a single
Mother) Unfortunately, less than three months in I got a bad case of dengue and was hospitalized.
I took the difficult decision of going back to my home country as I needed to recover and informed my landlord with him I had a good relationship. We agreed that she would keep half of the security deposit because I informed her with less than three months notice.
She is now refusing to honor that agreement.
I have signed lease termination agreement which we both signed in front of her lawyer who is a notary public.
I am coming here requesting for advice on next steps or if any lawyer attorney here could be kind enough to tell me if there’s anything I can do to receive that money.
Thank you!!
Hello, I’m just writing here to vent a little and ask for advice for my 7 month old daughter. I am a single mom by choice and I work in an international humanitarian NGO doing a job I love. I went on maternity leave and today was our first day back. We loved continents from my home and family to my previous posting (South Asia).
The office put up a child care area just for her, filled with toys and a crib. It’s a small corner, she can come every day and I hired a nanny to come with me.
Today she didn’t nap and cried a little when being held by the nanny.
I have multiple meetings a day but in general can come in to check in as I’m sitting right outside this little area. I just don’t know if it’s a good idea to scoop her every time she cries or let her be comforted by her new nanny?
She’s very attached to me and never cries or fusses. We co-sleep and she is fed on demand.
My question is how do I ease her into attaching to a new caregiver without having her feel abandoned? Is there a do’s a don’ts list or a technique to follow? I know I’m very lucky with my set up and I just struggled seeing her sad today.
Thank you!
