From a Tupperware container to,a quarantine tank, into his wet pet tank! How did i do? Im a noob at cichlids so go easy but be honest, what can I change? How can I improve my Damocles' life? He is a convict cichlid that was rescued from a set of oscars and spent four days in a Tupperware container with nothing but a bubbler before I got him and I want to make sure im doing everything right. Now I say this is his temporary tank because I have plans in the future to have a CA Cichlid tank that is at LEAST 75 gallons so he can have some friends 😁
Does this fish have dropsy?? Or the beginning stages of it at least?? He's doesnt look good but non of these babies look all that good. Video of what they were in in the comments

Some of you may remember this poor convict cichlid that I rescued from a Tupperware container, well im proud to announce that he is now safe and sound in a quarantine tank with some rooibos tea stained water for a natural destresser until I can get his mansion set up 💕💕
Getting this baby tomorrow!! My first cichlid ever!! I have heard good and bad about convicts but I wanna hear people's real life experiences with these fish!! I plan on doing a wet pet tank until I can not only upgrade him to a mansion but also get him a girlfriend and make some babies!! any and all advice is appreciated TIA
(Yes he's in a Tupperware in the photo, thats all the previous owner had to put him in so thier Oscar's didnt kill the poor thing so NO HATE)
I know the obvious issues that it could be like over watering (I've only watered it once in the 2 weeks I've had it, so doubtful) or my grow light was too close (20 watt, will include pic)
Also ignore my voice, I know it's annoying lol
Also, should I cut off that tiny leaf or leave it??
I have my Anthuriums and a couple other plants in a couple of converted fish tanks to make a greenhouse but now im afraid this is too much humidity 😅 I know they like it about the 65-70% range (if im wrong lmk) but I dont have a meter to check
I just repotted some anthurium rehabs and I am afraid I buried this one to o high up, I have a layer of orchid bark for the roots and then I saw a hack where you cover the air roots in sphagnum moss together them to grow in order to get more rootage, TIA
