French looking for Marketing / BD roles in Shenzhen & Guangzhou

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for my next career move in the GBA! ! hold a Master in Digital Business and have ~2 years of post-grad experience in international project management and client relations (Airbus, Webedia, etc.).

I'm actively targeting roles in:

- International Business Dev / B2B Sales
- Digital Marketing & Influencer Outreach
- Key Account Management

Does anyone know of any French companies, sourcing offices, or local Chinese tech brands actively hiring bilingual (French/English) profiles right now?

Any company names, leads, or advice would be amazing.

Thanks a lot!

Reality check: How risky is working at a Tier 3 training center on a management visa?

Looking at an offer for a training center in a Tier 3 city. They want to hire me on a management/consultant work permit, but the actual day-to-day job is in-classroom teaching.

I understand the legal technicalities and that this is a workaround, but what is the actual reality on the ground right now in lower-tier cities?

Are PSB/Education Bureau raids actively happening in Tier 3, or are local authorities mostly looking the other way?

If caught, is the teacher usually let off with a warning/fine, or is it immediate detention and deportation?

Is this an immediate dealbreaker in 2026, or something people are still routinely doing?

Looking for honest experiences from anyone currently on the ground or who has navigated this recently.

Thanks!

Seeking some advice on this ESL Job in China

Hello everyone, I would like your opinion on this job offer I received from an agent:

"We currently have some kindergartens in Guangdong province that are looking for teachers. The salary is 10k before tax + 1.5k housing allowance. During the summer or winter holidays, it is 2k + 1.5k housing allowance.

Please let me know if you are interested.

They prefer to work with us to help them recruit and manage foreign teachers. Therefore, you will sign a contract with our company and we will pay your salary, but your visa will be directly under the school.
Please let me know if you agree.

If so, I will arrange interviews for you.”

Thank you for your help!

[SCAM WARNING] ESL Job & Upfront Insurance Fee Scam Targeting Teachers in Wuhan ("Qide International Kindergarten")

Hey everyone, I want to share a warning about an active ESL recruitment scam targeting teachers looking to work in China. Specifically, they are floating a fake position at "Qide International Kindergarten" in Wuhan.

They lure you in with an attractive offer for non-native like a 23,500 RMB monthly salary for a Monday through Friday kindergarten schedule and they make the whole interview process look totally official at first. But as soon as they get you to switch over to chatting on WeChat, the red flags start piling up immediately.

The person interviewing me went by the fake name "Francis", but their actual WeChat profile was registered under completely different local names like Zhang Yuan Chen or Eric Ferguson. To make matters worse, for an English teaching role, the interviewer could barely even speak proper English! When I asked basic questions to verify things, they gave shady excuses claiming the school doesn't have an online page and that HR isn't available.

Here is how the final trap works: after pretending to move forward with you and staging an official interview, they eventually demand that you pay upfront fees of 3000 RMB for a mandatory insurance policy. The moment you comply or start questioning them, they block you and disappear completely.

Please stay safe out there, trust your gut if a recruiter acts shady, and make sure to report and block anyone trying to pull this trick!

Has anyone interviewed with QIDE International Kindergarten?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here had an interview or been contacted for a position at QIDE International Kindergarten? I have received a few interview meeting invitations, but the meetings did not seem to happen as planned, so I’m starting to feel unsure about the process.
I’m not making any accusations.

I’d just like to know whether others have had a genuine interview experience with them, especially if you were successfully hired or had clear communication from the school.

Please share your experience if you can.
Thank you.

OMG who brought a cucumber on the yacht?! 😭🛥️

Episode 7 : I am literally screaming at my TV 😹

The poor stewardess unpacking the bags and just pulling out a giant, random cucumber?! 💀

Someone really said, "Let me make sure my suitcase has proper produce."**  **

The crew's faces were absolute gold. It

is so chaotic and so intensely on-brand for this cast.
Who do we think is the culprit? Is it Meredith trying to do a bathtub spa day, or is someone pulling a prank?

Sound off because I need answers immediately 😂

Recruiters telling me to come to China on a tourist visa first to switch to a Z visa is this a red flag?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently in the process of looking for a job/dealing with recruiters for positions in China, and I'm getting conflicting information about the visa process.

A couple of recruiters have told me that I should just come over to China on a tourist visa (L visa) first, and then once I'm hired, they will "switch" or convert it to a legal Z work visa from inside the country.

From what I’ve researched, this sounds completely wrong and highly illegal. My understanding is that the process must be conducted from outside mainland China meaning the employer applies for the Work Permit Notification, and then I have to take that to a Chinese consulate in my home country (or at least leave mainland China to a place like HK) to get the actual Z visa.

Can someone confirm if it’s even legally possible to change a tourist visa to a work visa entirely inside mainland China anymore?

It feels like these recruiters are trying to rush me over to work illegally while the paperwork processes (or worse, indefinitely). I'm refusing to go over until I have a legitimate Z visa in my passport, but I want to make sure I have my facts straight.

Thanks in advance for the clarity!

Looking for WeChat job groups (Tech/Marketing/Teaching/etc.) – Please DM if you prefer!

Hey everyone,

I’m currently on the lookout for new job opportunities in China and I know a lot of the best networking and job postings happen directly inside WeChat groups.

Since these groups can be a bit elusive to find from the outside, I was wondering if anyone here is part of any active ones they could add me to?

⚠️** Note: I know people like to keep these groups spam-free, so if you don't want to share the QR codes or group owner contacts publicly in the comments, please feel free to shoot me a private message inste**ad!

Really appreciate any help or leads you can share. Thanks in advance!

Is 8k RMB/month normal for a teaching job in Haikou?

Hi everyone,

I recently had a conversation with a school in Haikou (Hainan) about a teaching position. After some back and forth, they told me the salary would be around 8,000 RMB per month. They didn't specify anything about housing allowance, insurance, or visa details just said "you'll know at the interview."

A few important points about the context:

· Hainan has a special visa policy (Free Trade Port) with a B category for foreign professionals.
· From what I understand, the implied minimum salary for a foreign work visa in Hainan is around 13,000–15,000 RMB (about 3x the local average salary).
· The school mentioned they were looking for a "fresh graduate."

My questions for the community:

  1. Is 8k RMB/month normal for an international school teaching job in Haikou? Or is this way below market rate?
  2. What should be the minimum salary for a foreign teacher in Haikou (non-native English speaker, but fluent, with TEFL and a Master's degree in another field)?
  3. Is housing (or a housing allowance) normally included in teaching offers in Haikou? If so, what's typical?
  4. Would a visa even be approved at 8k RMB/month under Hainan's policies? Or would the visa office reject it?

I'm trying to understand if I'm being unrealistic or if this school is just lowballing. Any advice or personal experience would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.
