Any Alberta LPNs who completed an RPN-to-BScN bridge in Ontario?

Hi! I’m an LPN in Alberta planning to move to Ontario. I have 2,000+ working hours and would like to do an RPN-to-BScN bridge.

Has anyone from Alberta or another province done this? Which Ontario school accepted you, and did they accept your out-of-province education and work hours?

Thanks!

RPN - BScN bridge - anyone accepted from another province?

Hi everyone! I’m currently an LPN in Alberta and I’m planning to move to Ontario for personal reasons. While I’m there, I’d really like to work toward becoming an RN.

I’ve been looking at RPN-to-BScN bridging programs in Ontario, particularly St. Lawrence College. I have 2,000+ hours of experience working as an LPN in Alberta, but I’m confused about whether Ontario bridging programs accept practical nurses who completed their education and work experience in another province.

Has anyone here moved to Ontario from Alberta or another province and successfully entered an RPN-to-BScN bridge?

Did you have to register with the CNO as an RPN first? And were your out-of-province LPN work hours accepted toward the required practice hours?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar. Thank you!

Boyfriend graduated with a Master’s in Management and stuck in retail - how to break into IT in Canada?

Hello everyone! New to this sub, not sure where else to go. My boyfriend moved to Canada to get his masters in management. He used to work in IT (cloud engineering) for 1-2yrs back home. He graduated his masters last 1.5 yrs ago and has been applying every day ever since! At this point it’s talking a roll of his health. I need some tips and advices that would help him get a job. He is open to moving anywhere in Canada (currently lives in Ontario). He spends most of his time building his LinkedIn, trying to network with people but We can’t figure out why he’s not getting any offers. Does he need certifications? If so which ones? Do managers care about it? Are there specific remote places where it’s easier to get a job? We are lost. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you
