i didn’t take a photo(s) but here it is shown on the throne app

huge missed opportunity for metro e line eastside extension phase 1 to connect with the metrolink riverside line montebello station
i just realized that how come la metro doesn’t want to put the montebello station near the metrolink riverside line montebello station just like how the pomona north metro a line station is near the metrolink san bernardino line pomona north station
if the montebello stations were near each other, that can potentially increase ridership and metrolink riders and la metro riders can transfer from either station
also, i wonder if the announcer for the metro e line will now say “the next stop is atlantic/pomona station in east la” instead of “the next stop is atlantic station in east la” since that station is being relocated
what are these used for on the metrolink san bernardino line & arrow service only?
when i got back to montclair from the metrolink san bernardino line, i noticed this thing and was wondering what’s it used for
i saw them at covina station too earlier on the day when i was looking at the window on the metrolink san bernardino line train
by the way, these things are only used for the metrolink san bernardino line & arrow service only so far and may be implemented into the other metrolink lines in the future
free royale subscription for any participating agency that’s partnered with the transit app
i got a free royale subscription from back in 2023 and this can be triggered for anyone if you ride any participating agency that’s partnered with the transit app
the free royale subscription was triggered for me when there were some days where i had to take omnitrans buses in the pomona valley of san bernardino county and i remember when i opened up the transit app one day and i got the notification from omnitrans
i still have the free royale subscription up to this day and its been really helpful for me
some participating agencies that are partnered with the transit app are omnitrans, smbbb (santa monica big blue bus), ladot dash, pasadena transit, octa, etc.
internet now available on omnitrans buses and omnitrans express buses for cities, neighborhoods, & unincorporated communities in san bernardino county
wether you live in a city, neighborhood, or unincorporated community in san bernardino county or visiting around here, internet is now available on all omnitrans buses and omnitrans express buses
i took this screenshot earlier in the day and got curious to check my settings app as i was taking a seat on omnitrans bus route 66 to see if internet is available on the bus and it turns out that there was internet finally available
i don’t know if it’s only for omnitrans bus route 66 but i’m pretty sure internet is available on all omnitrans buses and omnitrans express buses
beautiful day to take the metro a line train to la verne/fairplex station and then transfer to foothill transit bus route 67 to the la county fair😌
p.s. for anyone, tomorrow may 31st, 2026, is the final day of the la county fair at the pomona fairplex in the city of pomona and you don’t want to miss out this moment
renovation for exeloo restroom at montclair transcenter
i took this photo when i got back to montclair and i live in the pomona valley area of san bernardino county
when you’re at the montclair transcenter or el monte bus station, they have exeloo restrooms instead of throne restrooms
i want to talk about the exeloo restroom particularly at the montclair transcenter cause i feel like something needs to be fixed
i feel like whoever installed these exeloo restrooms and maybe even the one at the el monte bus station need to have better lighting on these restroom buttons
an example is if the button next to the exeloo restroom door is green, that means no one’s in inside and you can use it. when the button turns red, that means someone’s inside using it
let’s say both exeloo restrooms are being used and if someone needs to use the restroom here at the montclair transcenter, most people would keep tapping on the button when they don’t even see the red light that someone is inside
maybe the light can be bigger and brighter so it can get people’s attention that someone’s inside using it
new throne restroom placed at arcadia station
when i was on the metro a line heading towards downtown long beach and passed by arcadia station this morning, i noticed that there’s now a throne restroom at arcadia station
i didn’t take a photo(s) but here it is shown on the throne app
construction on holly/arroyo parkway (memorial park station) for noho - pasadena brt line
while i was on the way to memorial park station, i noticed that there’s some construction around the street for the noho - pasadena brt line
ride with pride tap card spotted at pomona north station
i saw a ride with pride tap card at a kiosk in pomona north station so i decided to go get one and this is for anyone else who doesn’t have this tap card yet
also, this tap card is located at glendora station as well
new fancy bus shelters in the city of claremont for foothill transit buses
when you’re in the city of claremont and looking to take a foothill transit bus, you’ll notice these new fancy bus shelters that were installed last year
the photo i took was at the stop, first street and mills ave near the claremont transit center and pomona college
not only are these bus shelters so nice, they greatly improve visibility for both riders and bus drivers
also, there are solar panels that are on top of the roof for evening and night riders
what ever happened to the metrolink placentia station for the metrolink 91/perris valley line?
is the metrolink placentia station for the metrolink 91/perris valley line still planned to be built?
if you look at the metrolink map, you can still see an infill station on the 91/perris valley line that shows the metrolink placentia station and it says “future station”
this is off topic but if you look at the la metro rail & busway map, there’s an “under construction” sign for the metro a line cause it’ll get extended to claremont and for the metro d line cause it’ll get extended to westwood and the westside
ik that la metro will promise us that we’ll get the metro a line extended to claremont and the metro d line extended to westwood and the westside but despite the current problems and issues with metrolink, will we still get the metrolink placentia station for the metrolink 91/perris valley line?
the metrolink placentia station has been shown on the metrolink map for quite sometime and it’s been years so we’ll see
here are links about the metrolink placentia station for the metrolink 91/perris valley line in case anyone is curious

construction on colorado/lake for noho - pasadena brt line
while i was waiting for pasadena transit bus route 10 on colorado/lake, i noticed that there’s some construction around the street for the noho - pasadena brt line
also, la metro bus route 180, la metro bus route 267, and foothill transit bus route 187 don’t stop at colorado/lake cause of the construction and those buses will probably begin serving that stop again sometime in the summer
is it just me or is it anyone else as well?
whenever i open the transit app sometimes, all of my pinned transit lines would get erased and the app icon would change back to the default one
it doesn’t happen all of the time but it would happen every once in awhile
i don’t mind changing everything back to the settings i want but it gets annoying sometimes so that’s why i was curious if anyone is experiencing this same problem like me
strange minutes arrival time on transit app
as someone who lives in the pomona valley area of san bernardino county, i took this screenshot when i arrived back at the montclair transcenter while waiting for the omnitrans bus and thought it was interesting that this omnitrans bus had 158 minutes
confirmed that tap plus has soft launched (pomona north metro a line station & bonita/san dimas ave bus stop in san dimas)
today, i wanted to try using apple pay to see if tap plus has soft launched and apparently, my debit card did go through
pomona north metro a line station (a line westbound) - my debit card was read and i saw the “go sign” but for some reason, i wasn’t charged and the tall fare gate opened for me
bonita/san dimas ave bus stop for foothill transit bus route 492 (eastbound towards montclair transcenter) - as i was beginning to head back home, i took the metro a line from azusa downtown station and exited at san dimas station so i can take foothill transit bus route 492. as i entered the 492 bus, i saw two tap signs, the one that’s usually next to the bus driver and one on the left side of me. i tried using apple pay on the tap sign next to the bus driver to see if my card would be read and surprisingly, it didn’t. the bus driver then told me you can try using apple pay on the tap sign that’s on the left side of me and my card was read
conclusion - it seems like tap plus is slowly getting implemented into eventually all la metro rail, subway, and busway stations. also, it seems like its slowly getting implemented into eventually all la county bus systems as well. i took the foothill transit bus route 291 going southbound from foothill/garey in pomona earlier before heading into the pomona north metro a line station and i tried using apple pay at both tap signs and the bus driver told me that “tap plus is still slowly getting implemented into our buses” so i tapped with my tap card when i boarded that bus route. lastly, i was surprised that the transaction was faster than tap transactions
vermont brt line supposedly opening earlier than expected
it looks like the vermont brt line is supposedly opening earlier than expected since the federal transit administration allocated $149.9 million for the brt line
also if you look at the photo, there’s a possibility that the vermont brt line might be called the “R Line” and the color might be a lavender color
since the vermont brt line might be called the “R Line,” then that means maybe the noho - pasadena brt line might use the “L Line” with the expo blue color and the east san fernando lrt line might use the “Q Line” since M, N, O, and P aren’t allowed to be used
there’s a good chance that after the metro d line subway extension to westwood is complete, the vermont brt line and noho - pasadena brt line might open before the olympics cause there supposedly going to open in 2028
here are links about the vermont brt line in case anyone is interested
