I've been trying to breed a Shiny Jewel Chao from my Gold Chao and Shiny Pink Chao, but I've tried several times now and they always breed a monotone Shiny Pink Chao. Is there something I'm missing? Do Shiny Jewel Chao not work on the Steam version?

I can only find info for SA2 emblem requirements for Chao eggs, but since there are fewer emblems in SADX I assume the requirements are different. I have 113 emblems and it still hasn't appeared in the black market yet. The yellow/pink/purple set of Chao eggs is my second set on this save file. Do I need more emblems or do I just need to keep checking back?

Has anyone ever gotten the cutscene where all the Miis in a household gather at the table and say the name of a household member who they think best represents a certain type of person in a house with more than three Miis and had it end in a tie between two Miis? I’ve had it happen where it’s unanimously one Mii and I’ve had it happen where it’s an all-way tie (all household members nominated a different person), but in every other instance there’s been one Mii that gets the majority vote. Is it possible to have a tie that’s not an all-way tie?
My Miis were CONSTANTLY asking me to add an asphalt path over this nice dirt path to the beach. I didn’t want to use an actual path tile because I didn’t want the grey brick border around it and wanted it to stay natural looking. No matter how many times I said no, they just kept bringing it up.
However, I found a method to prevent them from asking for paths here! If a staircase is completely cut off by solid objects or plants (but NOT by flat board objects unfortunately), Miis won’t consider it a valid spot to build a path to since they’ll never ask for a path that goes through these objects. However, I still wanted the beach to be accessible, and I didn’t want to ruin the look of the path by having random flowers and weeds all over it.
So, here’s my workaround! I created a box shaped object and drew some plants on the bottom of one side only, leaving the rest transparent (but still considered solid). I put these in front of the stairs, diagonally from each other so that there’s still a space Miis can access the stairs from, and then put some weeds next to that space. Now the stairs are completely “blocked” by objects, so Miis will never ask for a path there, but since Miis can walk through weeds, they can still get to the beach!
I was playing a round of the Reddit version and ended up with this weird family tree situation.
So, Estrine married someone from Wincestor who had three children already. At the time of their marriage, one of my other house members had previously married Hata II and was remarried to her sister (the one represented by the Sapwood crest). She wound up dying too and he remarried again to someone not related to the people shown here. After the death of the Wincestor husband, Estrine got remarried to Rogetus from Krankheim who had two children. Both of those children ended up marrying into Sapwood, but this was after Estrine and Rogetus got married.
So, when the first husband married into Sapwood, his deceased daughter who had married into Sapwood and whose husband had remarried (therefore replacing her portrait on the tree) was represented by her full portrait on a Wincestor crest, his daughter who was alive and married into Sapwood at the time was represented by a Sapwood crest, and his son who never married into Sapwood was represented by a Wincestor crest. When the second daughter died and her husband remarried (replacing her portrait on the tree) I thought that the Sapwood crest would be replaced by her portrait, but it just stayed as the Sapwood crest.
Then the first husband died and Estrine married Rogetus, and his two children were both represented by the Krankheim crest. When those kids then also married into Sapwood I expected that to change to the Sapwood crest (like the second daughter of the previous husband) but they remained represented by the Krankheim crest even though they were technically part of house Sapwood.
I just thought it was interesting how the game handles the family tree in this niche circumstance. I suppose the game checks what house someone's previous kids are in at the time of marriage and then represents them with a house crest, but doesn't do any additional checks to update the crests if the kids' house affiliation changes. As for Hata II, I guess that since she was technically part of the family tree already since she married in, but her portrait was no longer displayed because her husband remarried, the game got confused and just displayed her full portrait instead of the crest?
I remember when I was playing the Steam demo I'd have situations where the tree would rearrange itself after I exited the game. I would have one of my house members' spouse cheat on them with another house member, and the resulting baby would, say, have their full portrait on their mother's branch and be represented by a crest on their father's branch, but then when I saved and quit and went back, the baby would be switched to having their full portrait on their father's branch and being represented by a crest on their mother's branch. You can't save your game in the Reddit version, but I wonder what would have happened if I was playing a version where I could save and quit. Would the tree have updated the crests when I went back? Would Hata II's sister be represented by a portrait as well, or would the tree fix itself and represent Hata II with a crest like it normally would? This would be an extremely difficult scenario to try and recreate naturally, so I'll probably never get to test it when the full game comes out/the demo comes back (plus this might get patched out before then), but I can't help but be curious.

I've noticed a couple of weird issues. I've had several children born with 0 in some stats when their parents were at least decent in those stats, and sometimes even when one or both parents is very high in those stats. I know that the genetics system isn't always linear, but I checked their grandparents too and didn't see any absurdly low stats. Is there some other factor that could be affecting the stats of these children?
Another issue I've noticed is that when someone with a title has a bastard, the bastard will become their default successor even if they have older trueborn children. I'd understand the bastard inheriting if they're the oldest/only child, or if the bastard was the first/only child born to a second spouse with a title, but this happens even when the bastard has multiple older siblings from the title holding parent.
