I heard Red Line arrival announcements at both Addison and Belmont today (like what they play in the Sheridan lobby). Is this a new/restarted initiative for great accessibility? Or some fluke, turning on of an old system?

“The goal is to scale back service to a level that MCTS can sustain for three years without extra funding…and carry out a campaign “trying aggressively to find dedicated funding,”

There are good opportunities in here to advocate for safer streets. SHSPs are federally-required plans and end up informing capital projects, often. This could be one way to get better IDOT cooperation on Chicago’s designated state highways.
