What's your red flags in the Phillipines?

As much as I love this country. Some people are opportunists. Here are my red flags.

Any discussion of an investment

Any discussion of a loan.

Any sudden family emergency.

Telling me thats the way it is.

Asking me to trust them.

Once these topics are discussed. I distance myself. Why? Because I never discuss politics, religion and personal finances. Especially when you just met people. Genuine relationships respect these boundaries.

What's your red flags?

What are some home building scams to watch out for?

I got into a discussion about credibile home building contractors and mitigating risk. We came from very different perspectives. His was engineering focused and building best practices. My pov was focused on budget, time management and quality control. Both perspectives have merit. It left me curious.

For those who have home building experience. Let's hear about building scams you may have experienced...

* What was the scam? * How did you handle it? * What did you learn? * What advice do you have for others?

The more we learn the better. Salamat lahat.

Monetizing the homeless simps?

Have you noticed the trend in Pinoy vloggers "helping" simps who got hustled and are now broke and homeless in the Phillipines. Vloggers will raise money and sort paperwork with consulates to get the simp to thier home country.

The content reeks of exploitation of these poor souls. It's not authentic kindness. It's clout chasing and monetizing the content. I guess if the simp lacks options they naturally accept the "help".

How does the forum feel about this? Am I being callous? Is the kindness sincere? Let's discuss.
