2.4Ghz devices doesn't connect to airtel wifi

I have a tapo c200 indoor camera that doesn't connect to my airtel 2.4 GHz ssid no matter what. Distance is never a problem because it doesn't connect even when placed next to each other.

I tried playing around by changing settings in the airtel portal, nonetheless it doesn't connect. I tried creating a guest wifi and was able to connect to it but my office laptop stopped connecting because of unsecured wifi error.

As a workaround, I had a xiaomi pad 5 and always kept its hotspot on whilst connected to 5GHz wifi.

My tab has started throwing screen issues, restarting on its own and needs manual intervention to switch on hotspot

Thought of using a wifi extender but feels not worth the price just for an indoor camera that costed lesser than it.

Any suggestions on this? Thank you.

South chennai - areas with good facilities

Thinking of buying a flat but I am hitting a hardstop somewhere.

Are there flats or places in South Chennai - preferably around Chromepet - Hasthinapuram or east Tambaram with the following facilities or am I asking too much?

  1. No open drainage or drainage covered with slabs. Should have underground drainage

  2. Soft water/metro water supply (can be ignored if others outweigh)

  3. No flood zone areas

  4. Well ventilated. Shouldn't be the case where you switch on the lights during the day

  5. Ground floor

  6. Close to bus stops (bus frequency should be decent) atleast till railway station

  7. Gyms and stores nearby

  8. Waste management or garbage collection is taken care of.

I do understand a gated community can offer majority of these amenities but I feel there aren't a lot in the areas I am looking into

Why are companies not budging with notice period buyout or early release?

Same as question.

I have noticed this pattern where companies aren't budging for early release or buyout despite them being a redundant resource or a not so valuable resource. No KTs to be given, no work as such, then why are companies hesitating with early release/buyout?

On top of it, the employee is expected to come to the office and shouldn't take any leaves. If taken, the last date gets extended. Kinda seems unfair

Amazon now dark pattern?!

I bought on Amazon now for Rs. 300 aiming for Rs 150 cashback, however one of the item was not in the store (note it was listed on Amazon now hence I bought it).

That one item (it was around 144) was not delivered and after checking with the delivery boy, he confirmed that the store didn't have it in their inventory, ultimately I had to raise a ticket, but they refunded around 70 rs and deducted the rest from the 150 cashback.

Why even list an item only to be deducted from the cashback?

Besides there's no way a customer can confirm if the product is present in their inventory or not.

I know it is a long shot, is there anyway to get some kind of compensation for this agony?

I booked a rapido auto right outside egmore metro till Triplicane which was easily greater than 5.5 kms. The cost came around Rs 113. Auto anna didnt demand any extra money but while getting down he said he will take only cash. I handed him 120 expecting him not to return the change and anticipated he would demand extra money. Surprisingly, he returned the 7 rs change.

This was the most unusual encounter with auto anna in Chennai today

The usual drill has always been - auto anna calls/messages and asks for drop location and rate shown on app -> demand extra money (sometimes politely and sometimes rudely), but this unusual encounter with that one honest auto anna made me believe in humanity lol.

PS: Didn't know which flair to use so using a random flair instead.
