Planning an 8-day Skardu trip in mid-July - Need some advice

Hi everyone!

I'm planning an 8-day family trip to Skardu in the middle of July and would love some advice from people who have visited recently.

  • How is the weather in mid-July?
  • Does it rain a lot, or is it still a good time for sightseeing?
  • How crowded is Skardu during this time? Are the tourist spots and hotels very busy?
  • Are the roads generally safe and open?

I'm also looking for accommodation suggestions.

Would you recommend staying at resorts like Shangrila and Himmel, or would it be better to stay in guest houses surrounded by nature for a more peaceful experience?

Lastly, I'm looking for a reliable, honest driver+guide with a Prado for the entire trip. If you've personally had a good experience with someone, please share their contact details.

Any recommendations for hotels, guest houses, or drivers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Looking for a 1 BHK on Monthly Rental Basis near to dha or gulberg

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a 1 BHK apartment on a monthly rental basis preferably dha on max in gulberg (Lahore). I work remotely and have found it difficult to stay productive in coworking spaces due to constant distractions and noise.

Budget: Up to 100,000 PKR per month

Preferences:

  • Quiet environment suitable for remote work
  • A dedicated workspace table/chair would be a huge plus
  • Reliable fast internet availability

If anyone has leads, recommendations, or knows of a suitable place, please feel free to comment or DM me.

Road Rage @ DHA

Witnessed peak road rage today.

A Revo driver got offended because someone honked at him. Instead of moving on, he stopped his vehicle right in front of the other driver on a busy main road and started harassing him.

A horn is meant to communicate, not trigger an ego battle. Unfortunately, too many people on our roads act like Field Marshals in their own kingdoms.

Driving a bigger vehicle doesn't make anyone more important. Leave the ego at home—the road belongs to everyone.
