Whats up with Turkish tv actors ?

Hey folks,

I'm huge fan of Turkish tv shows, after watching each show or even before I goggle, real names of actors, their life, partner and everything about them out of curiosity. Why are most actors though in thirties like Burcu, Demet, ihsan, caglar etc still single.

Ps - I know age has nothing to do with marriage finding a good person is but when we see in other tv, movie industry they're either in relationship or marriage or single but here we have no idea about anything related to their live life

Dowry - A Social Evil, When does it end?

Hey Folks,

I'm a South Indian married to UP guy, lately I have been seeing death of women from Noida (Deepika Nagar), Twisha Sharma for reasons of dowry, domestic violence, exploitation and emotional abuse. I see death of women in such circumstances is more in number compared to South, that doesn't mean there are saints in South, some communities uphold dowry in the form of money, property, gifts with utmost glory. But this social evil is normalized by groom as well bride's family. As much men's family receive it the girl's family is willing to give it as form of safety net, to make bride's life secure, safe that comes with good standard of living and the status of that family remains top notch. There is lot of gift giving in North to even far relatives from groom's side, everything is related to money, judged in terms of money

For instance, my husband gave dowry to his sister during her wedding, him and I we'rnt married yet nor I knew him. When I asked why did he give dowry since he said his brother in law didn't demand or expect he's educated as his wife. It was expectation from my mother in law to give out of respect, their was this photo of him placing stack of money bundle that made me question him because no way in hell I would give him a rupee worth of dowry. To speak of my husband, his father passed away in his teen years, he took entire responsibility of his house from educating his siblings, paying college fees, getting two siblings married and building a house of his own, I'm proud of how he uplifted his family from poverty and giving a privileged life, he is empathetic but he couldn't escape from social conformity. Sometimes, women who are educated, in case of my sis in law, she didn't question her own mother, made her mother understand nor did her husband stop it. Her husband is good person overall but why does this tradition of giving dowry is so normalized??

I believe every men and women should entirely nip it from the bud, this concept of dowry equates everything to class, dignity, social conformity and hierarchy amongst household that which daughter in law brings the highest dowry, I also have fought with my husband over this topic earlier, a father since a girl is born keeps saving money entirely to splurge on her wedding, yes some women educate themselves, some don't, some work, some don't yet education alone doesn't change the traditional role, it's like "socially progressive, mentally traditional ", it stops when both women and men's family asking and giving and the moment it creates disturbance with daughter, they have to bring her home without thinking of society, it has to end with us.
