A 'strategic disaster' for Saudi Arabia & US as YAF takes more control along Red Sea coast

The YAF's expansion along Yemen's western coast has been described by The Guardian as a "strategic disaster" for Saudi Arabia and the United States.

The YAF announced control of key positions around al-Mokha, including Khalid Camp and Jabal al-Nar, as well as Al-Khokha, Hays and Al-Waziyah.

The Guardian wrote that control of more of the Red Sea coast could bring the Resistance closer to two vital maritime passages, the Bab al-Mandab and the Strait of Hormuz.

Yesterday, Israeli Airstrikes Destroyed New Water Desalination Plant in Gaza. 92% of Gaza's Population Affected By Water Shortages. At Least $500,000 In Losses Incurred By Owner.

For nearly two months, Palestinians in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood had access to water at any time — a welcome sense of stability in the depths of a genocidal war. On Aug. 24, that stability was disrupted by an Israeli airstrike that destroyed the newly built water desalination plant and damaged apartment buildings and tents.

Standing next to rubble and forcibly displaced from the airstrikes, Louay Al-Namnam told Unicorn Riot that at least 14 Palestinian families were now looking for “somewhere to live.”

“We were sitting safely inside the complex,” he said, “when suddenly someone approached us and told us to leave because the area was about to be bombed. A water desalination plant was struck first, and then the complex itself was hit.”

“We are all now out on the streets. We need somewhere to live! We couldn’t salvage any of our personal belongings—we escaped with nothing but the clothes on our backs, just as you see us now. What kind of truce is this? What kind of humanity allows this to happen to us?” Louay Al-Namnam

The water plant had provided free desalinated water to families and over a dozen shelters and collectives. The bombing worsens Gaza City’s drinking-water crisis which impacts 92% of the population.

According to Al Jazeera, the owner of the desalination plant estimated his losses to be at least $500,000 with the machines half of that amount. The plant which was totally destroyed was carefully assembled with hard to obtain equipment and materials.

Despite being condemned for war crimes Israel continues their acts of collective punishment toward all of Gaza, eradicating the infrastructure of all civil society from healthcare, education, to electricity and water plants. They now occupy over 70% of Gaza and are continuing daily attacks.

U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his 'friendly' relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, while also criticising South Korea's lack of support for the U.S. in the Hormuz.

The remarks came after Trump ordered Pentagon officials to cut short joint military exercises with South Korea.

Trump said this week he had received a response from Kim following his attempts to reengage.

The Wall Street Journal reported that he has pushed aides to arrange an in-person meeting with Kim as soon as this autumn.

Confrontations between Izraeli peace activists and right-wing Jewish settlers have escalated significantly in the occupied West Bank.

Confrontations between Izraeli peace activists and right-wing Jewish settlers have escalated significantly in the occupied West Bank.

Confrontations between Izraeli peace activists and right-wing Jewish settlers have escalated significantly in the occupied West Bank. Groups of Israeli civil society activists regularly mobilize to protect Palestinians, leading to direct and sometimes violent standoffs with settlers.

•Key Frontlines of Confrontation•

-Protective Presence & Shepherding: Organizations like the Jordan Valley Activists consist of Israeli citizens who volunteer to accompany Palestinian shepherds and farmers. They stand between local communities and armed settlers who attempt to drive Palestinians off their grazing lands.

•Property & Outpost Disputes: Activists frequently travel to rural villages to help remove illegal roadblocks or dismantle wildcat settler outposts built on privately owned Palestinian land. During these actions, settlers have routinely responded by vandalizing activists' vehicles, slashing tires, and launching physical counter-attacks.

-•Civil Protests:

Beyond direct field intervention, Israeli peace groups consistently stage demonstrations outside official government locations—such as the Prime Minister’s and President's residences in Jerusalem and major hubs in Tel Aviv. They publicly condemn the violence being done "in their name" and demand military and police intervention against radical settler factions.

•Risks and Legal Escalations:

-The encounters have grown increasingly dangerous for those intervening:

• Physical Harassment: Israeli and international volunteers have sustained severe head, neck, and bodily injuries from coordinated physical assaults by masked settlers.

• Rare Criminal Charges: In a notable legal development, Israeli prosecutors initiated proceedings to indict a settler for reckless homicide following the videotaped killing of a Palestinian activist during a West Bank confrontation. Human rights attorneys note that such prosecutions remain exceedingly rare.
