Recommendations for September month long digital nomad in Europe or Asia

Any recommendations for a month doing work from home / digital nomad type work? Would like to be by the ocean/water. Ideally less than 2k for housing for the month.

Rescinding signed contract at academic center

Long story short. New grad. Smaller subspecialty. Attending I reach out to told me not to trust what chief tells me and that they don’t actually want to support my career growth. Multiple red flags in conversations with chief. Research support isn’t there. I would be doing a lot of work that is below my training. It’s not a position where I see myself staying for more than a year. Signed four days ago. Chief emailed a handful of attendings in the group already that I was joining. I take full responsibility that I did sign the contract. However, I feel like I should have listened to my gut and the red flags, and I am feeling like I should rescind.

Should I stick it out for 9 months to a year? I understand being blacklisted from that location, but I wouldn’t wanna work there in particular. I am concerned about my prospects at other locations if I rescind but also concerned that it’s going to be hard to apply elsewhere in 9mo-1 year if I take this job. Supposedly they had someone else who they were going to give the contract to if I didn’t take it.

How important is having a good division chief for next attending job?

Role of your division chief in future job applications? Considering a position that is somewhat short term (year) per contract. Many red flags from division chief. Doesn’t appear to support my interests. I’m a new grad, and I don’t fully understand the role they play in your future job search. Any advice?

Saying no to your only job offer - when is it the right thing to do?

I have a job offer. It’s not really what I want to do, but the job market for my field is rough.
It offers a decent salary, but it’s definitely a large pay cut from what I should be paying at the same amount of hours.

The hiring manager refuses to negotiate the contract, saying that someone had already signed with those terms. I was going to join this group to do something in particular, but I found out that it’s not something that can be done there. I feel like the hiring manager doesn’t really want me to be there. I asked for an extension on the contract, and he told me that he wanted a response sooner than what was allotted. He said he has someone else waiting to be offered the contract, and he wants to offer it to them if I need more time.

TLDR job not a great fit, red flags from hiring manager, advice on saying no when you risk not having a job at all

Front passenger reflector fix

Got into an accident recently. The front right passenger reflector light popped out. It appears to be intact on the mount but the mount itself has nothing holding it to the bumper. Do I fix this with tape? Is it missing a part that is supposed to mount the mount? TIA!
