MUA stories

I saw my orthopedic today. Ive been dealing with the stages of frozen shoulder for 8 months. Im in the frozen stage and have tried prednisone and a cortisone shot. Ive done PT and do exercises at home with no relief. Today my Orthopedic scheduled me for MUA. Im not 100% sold on this and told him so. He scheduled me with the option to change my mind. Would love to hear from those who have had MUA. Thanks

NY vs CT

Watching the NY vs CT game and my gosh there is some guy in the stand that has a booming loud voice. I cant believe any of these kids can tune it out and play. All I hear is "LET'S GO" " LET'S GOOOOOO" Its quite obnoxious. I know its part of sports, but Ive never heard one voice so loud over the others.

Joined the family

Towards the end of July my Toyota Van was totaled in an accident. Hubby was insistent on another van or SUV. I no longer wanted a bigger van or SUV (kids are older with one having thier own vehicle) I wanted a small SUV or Sedan. Went to look at the Chevy trax and saw this beauty sitting on the used car side of the lot. A 2016 Buick Lacrosse. 52,xxx miles. One owner and so clean. She rides like a dream with her V6. Im totally in love. The only thing I'd add if I had a choice is Navigation on the screen. She has remote start which will be glorious during the Northeast winters.

Nothing can be funny.

Im starting to realize just how much they control our lives and emotions. Even when they are not around. I just read a title to a post that was..."what is one sentence that tells you its going to be a bad day?" My first thought was....The first sentence out of my husband's mouth when he wakes up, because him being awake most likely means a bad day. Its truly sad that something ment to be met with funny responses cant get one from me. So many times I cant comment on things people ask because it will be negative. And no one would understand when I reply anything my husband says. They think im the bad guy for feeling negatively about my husband, because to them he is a great guy.

Reappearing Fruit

Lush posted a video showing a snack board she made for the World Cup Game that aired yesterday. There was a fruit tray. The same fruit tray made an appearance this morning in her muffin board video, and not a single piece of fruit was touched. My kids devour fruit.

Layered ice cream jello

We were at a potluck and someone brought this layered jello. It was normal jello on the bottom and then a layer of like mousse like jello. The lady you brought it said she mixed vanilla ice cream into the jello and thats what made the consistency. I asked for the recipe but she rattled it off so quickly I dont remember. I've searched online but cant do find what I'm looking for. Like I said the bottom layer was basic jello then he top layer was fluffy. Anyone know what im talking about and have a recipe? Thanks.

I can't stand the micromanaging!

Its also as bad as the metal abuse. My husband micromanages everything me and the kids do. One example. My son took his driving test and my husband stood at the door and watched every move My son made while doing maneuver ability. My son got 100% not a single remark or deduction. Husband said to my son after his test. "I would have done it..." and proceeded to give examples. He watches everything we do and comments how we should do it. Simple things like putting on our socks or shoes is somehow done "wrong" His way is the only way. It triggers me so bad.

How to tell friends my child wont be driving their child?

So my child got their driver's license recently. The parents of my childs friend seem to assume that my child will be driving theirs to school this fall. My child has mentioned how friend and friends mom casually mention "when you drive friend to school". My husband and I agree that our child will not be driving theirs. We dont want that responsibility on them. Once in awhile maybe, but not daily. Our child is very punctual. Theirs is not. Ours has an after school job theirs does not. Driving someone every day gets old. Plus we dont want our child to be waitng on them or being late to school when friend is running behind. I told my child next time its mentioned to say "thats not my decision to make, ask my parents " so how can I word it and not sound like a B**** that my child will not be driving theirs to/from school?
