I am looking for zombie movies but not the major ones like "Dawn of the dead" or "28 days later".

I'm looking for smaller low budget productions that are still very entertaining.

Are there some you can recommend me to go and see? Even if they are really old. And can you also tell me why you like this movie?

Hi,

I am not talking about the actors. Strictly the characters they portrayed in the various Star Trek series. (Kirk, Picard, Worf, Archer, Spock, Sisko, Riker, etc)

As far as I know they get older than us nowadays. But does anyone know how old the characters are when they first appeared in Star Trek?

I think I am good enough at making music (Afro, EDM, Dancehall) but fail completely at mixing music. So my products never sound professional unless someone else mixes it.

But I have determined that my biggest problem is in compression on the Drumbuss. I have used all sorts of compressors. It always sounds like nothing is glued together but still sounding clear or sounding glued but overcompressed. I followed many tutorials but the SSL compressor never gave me the sound that I hear on the songs of big artists. And other Waves compressors/limiters never give me the sound i want.

But when I use WAVES C4 I get the closest to what I want. But it still sounds a bit over-compressed. 

Is there anything you can advise me to do?

I am making steps in mixing. But there is something i dont understand.

Let's say I am mixing one of my song and compare it to a reference track of a similar type of music, my own song holds up when hearing it in my studio. And it could be that my song has more bass than the reference track.

But when I take it to other places (car, nightclub, a bar, friends, etc) the reference track has more bass. The same goes for brightness. In my studio my song can sound more bright than the reference track but in other environments it's sounds less bright than the reference track.

I always had that issue. I have had multiple speakers and currently listen on multiple speakers. I have moved a lot over the many years so I have had multiple places where I mix my songs. So if the speakers or the place was the issue than the problem should already have been solved.

Does anyone experience the same regarding Highs end and low end?

I have a Xiaomi 13T and with my Mac Mini running sequoia I use Xiaomi Interconnectivity. It is working really well.

But I would like to use it with my very old MacBook running Catalina. it is very unwise for me to update that MacBook to a newer OS.

​

I cannot install the new version but I also cannot find an old version.

Do you know where to find an old version of Interconnectivity that I can install on Catalina?

Lately I have been put in very dark DJ booths. So dark that I could hardly see the knobs on the mixer and such.

I was always impressed by the mic skills of Ludwig Kaiser. So sad this guy is just sitting at home doing nothing.

But who would you say are the best on the mic in English while English is not their native language.

I am really looking for English promos skills but you can submit guys that can cut a great promo in another language as well.

Hi,

I finished the composition of a song. Now i want to mix it.

I put an EQ on the master and cut every below 120hz and above 9099 Hz. This purely to see how my mix would hold up. Of course when I do the actual mixdown I will remove that EQ.

I noticed that snares that weren't clear in my mix now suddenly pop out way too much in the mix. So definitely hear other stuff.

Reason is i am notoriously bad at mixing and need every trick in the book to make a somewhat okay sounding mix.

Do you think this method is a good method (next to checking mixes out on other soundsystems)?

Which one would you advice to use and what strategy would advise them to implement?
