I was involved in a car accident in 2018 and still have PIP/no-fault coverage until 2028. I’m looking for recommendations for dermatologists or laser treatment places that help with facial scarring and actually accept no-fault insurance.
Before the obvious comments, yes, I already know it’s difficult because a lot of doctors want full payment upfront or just don’t accept no-fault at all. My insurance adjuster even tried helping me and couldn’t really find anything. I’ve already called tons of places through doctor websites, insurance lookups, Google, etc.
Preferably Bergen County/North Jersey, but I’m willing to travel if the place is worth it.
Any recommendations?
I’ve been looking in Hackensack with a budget of 800-1M. Its within a 20-30 minute drive of GWB
Ive been looking at Summit Rd which is close to highways, constantly cleaned of snow for the ambulances, close to hospitals, near restaurants, police stations, and walking distance to bus and train. Obviously Summit has traffic depending on the time of day.
Besides the taxes being a little bit high, does anyone think this is a good choice?
The road is full of doctors. I don’t need good schools! - I have no kids. If I did have kids I would out them in private schools anyways.
Its also really close to maywood, I’m not looking at south Hackensack!
I’m currently renting and my drive is 20ish minutes to the bridge with traffic. OBVIOUSLY it could range a little more depending on the time of day.
My last post got more hate than help. So I’ve reposted

any suggestions for some libraries that have events. I need to touch grass and socialize.
I genuinely don’t understand how some of these traffic lights in New Jersey still operate the way they do.
Perfect example is Jersey City. Some left turns literally let one car through per cycle, maybe two if someone risks it after the yellow. Then traffic backs up for blocks, people get impatient, illegal turns start happening, pedestrians are crossing through chaos, and everyone’s blood pressure goes up.
And don’t even get me started on lights that stay green for like 10–15 seconds when there’s a massive line of traffic waiting.
I know people are gonna say “the systems are outdated” or “population increased,” but okay… why hasn’t anything been updated then? Traffic in some of these areas has been horrible for YEARS.
Is there an actual reason towns don’t retime these intersections more often, or is it just one of those things nobody cares enough to fix?
Any recommendations for men’s haircut?
what are your favorite spots to get bagels?
I know I’ll probably get hate for posting this, but I figured maybe this could help someone who genuinely learned from their mistakes and needs a second chance.
If you’re in NJ and dealing with a reckless/careless ticket, ask your lawyer about unsafe operation of a vehicle. A lot of people don’t even know it exists.
Not legal advice obviously, just sharing what happened to me because it ended up saving me a lot of money, points, and insurance headaches.
My story:
The first time, I hired a lawyer for around $1,000. He basically told me to stay quiet and let him handle it. He asked the prosecutor to amend the charge down to unsafe operation of a vehicle, and that’s what ended up happening.
Then, only a couple months later, I was stupid again and got myself into another situation. This time I couldn’t afford the same type of lawyer, so I ended up with a court-appointed attorney. At first he basically told me I was screwed, but I asked him if unsafe operation was possible instead. He spoke to the prosecutor, and the prosecutor informed me that you’re able to use unsafe operation up to three times in NJ. By the third time, though, it becomes an actual ticket with points on your license. Still, that could be way better than a reckless/careless driving charge depending on the situation.
Not posting this to encourage reckless driving or excuses. The moral of the story is slow down, use your blinkers, and stop driving like an idiot. I definitely learned my lesson, and now I basically drive on cruise control everywhere.
What are your favorite date spots in Bergen County?
Any recommendations on Chinese food spots in Bergen County?
My only option is resorting to TikTok for somewhat decent opinions. Does anyone have any gatekept restaurants they want to share?
Just moved to Newark and I’m dorming at Rutgers NJ so I don’t have any connects so ofc I go to the local smoke shop. They gave me whatever this is.. does anyone know what the white is on my weed. Can I smoke it??
I've been outbid numerous times to the point where I'm discouraged from purchasing a home. I don't want to pay higher than the market dictates because I'm looking to sell the home after 5 years or so. I'm not entirely desperate. I'll go maybe 60 grand over the listing price, but I’m trying to stay realistic with market value.
I need some places to hang out and chill, where people go out to do some activities that aren't bars. It's like an event space but without the events. I'm new to the area and wanted to check out some new spots to socialize.
Where can I actually find Spanish level authentic Spanish food in Bergen County/North Jersey- I've been trying to find actually good Spanish food near North Jersey. I keep finding franchises just like you normally would for any other food. I want something that I can actually spend my money on and get full, or maybe satisfy my taste buds. Most places I go to I can finish the rice, chicken, or platter in 3 bites.
