my_qualifications - 12th wanna go for ug degree

So i got this bits rmit 2+2 program and I was really excited about it, because icici was offering 1cr of unsecured loan for, saw on the rmit website. But now they rejected my loan.

The thing is, my mother is earning 30k per month and my dad is unemployed (he has severe heart issues, had a minor heart attack last month too). My grandparents are earning like 120k per month. But the bank say that age cannot be above 65 to be a co-borrwer.

Now I'm just stuck, don't really wanna put my grandparents properly on mortgage. I need like a 75lakh loan, but won't really use it all, actual is close to 40 L. But main problem is front loading for visa( u have to show 50l during that time)

My degree would be electrical engineering which is the most employable field in Australia right now because Australia wants to shift it's energy needs to sustainable sources like solar.

Average pakage - 80k - 100k aud (50-60l)

Placement rate - 85%

So, I'm planning to study in Rmit, but don't really know how things work there. It'll be really great if you guys can give me some tips and insights.

So I plan to join Electrical and electronics engineering course, with a partner University 'Bits' from india. How this works is, i spend 2 years in india at bits and 2 years in rmit, get a eee degree and 2 year work visa.

So, i don't really plan to stay in australia forever, it's a fabulous country indeed, but I want to explore many countries, so after settling my student loans, I plan to apply for mba at insead or something.

I really want to know how are eee placements there and how common are internships and part time jobs in engineering sector. Is fifo hiring good at rmit, or city roles are more common?

And yes, will it be worth taking an education loan of like 60k aud?

So i scored 199, last year 181 was the closing in hyd, while 189 in goa.

But they opened on 224 and 226 this year, that's+43 and +37 from last year.

Do u think I'll get them??

\+ There's parallel counselling for bio, so many stem people will drop it in each round gradually

\+ It's a pretty new branch with no scope in india

\+ Last year cutoffs were pretty low for it

\+ Parallel josaa

Minus

\- many stem people just paid bio fee(like me)

\- system is designed so people can hold dual seats

\- bits tag at least marks

My other options are not delhi mechanical/civil and dtu civil/bio/env.

So the thing is there are two separate counselling this year for bio and stem courses and environmental cut off is so high because a guy who might have gotten mechanical wood also have a lotted MSc bio or environmental due to the parallel counselling which is happening for the first time for bio related courses.

Now it's very obvious that a guy who have curtain a stem degree would just withdraw from the bio part and the cutoffs would be much lower at least that's my theory I would really appreciate if a moderator could confirm this.

Hyd environmental is at 224, I'm at 199

It was at 181 last year

Can I get any be/msc branch at 199 in any campus, last year hyd environmental was 181, so I was really sure about them, but now it's just a shitshow😭

So, I've 199, if cutoff drops I'll take any msc, but if it doesn't I'm seriously considering this, but if in any situation I plan to drop the mba part, will my branch actually be demoted, as they say in brochure that these guys retain the right to allot me a lower branch according to my score.

Ik that this course is new and you may not know this from the previous batch, but a similar thing is written in 2+2 brochure, so if u can tell me about some student who dropped the abroad part.
