[CW12] Had a few trips to CWHQ this week and ended up a CW12

Had a showroom tour at the Maidenhead HQ on Monday where Oliver showed my all the watches (they have the entire product range in all the colours/straps) and we had a great chat over a cup of tea. I decided on what I wanted (a Twelve in Nebula Purple) and went back today to meet Scott to pick it up and have a bracelet fitting - and he took so much time to get it all perfect - it was impressive.

Just got to say that everyone makes you feel super welcome and they are friendly and professional without any hard sell - but let's face it, the watches themselves do all the selling! If you are wondering whether to visit CW then just go for it - you'll have great fun :)

As I left I said I'm sure I'll be back - and those Pistachio Sealanders with the 60-hour reserve are calling me back already!

My huge haul of mechanical pencils to the UK!

Just got a huge haul of mechanical pencils, which are so much cheaper in Japan than in the EU ... including lots of special/limited editions. Happy guys here - thanks ZenMarket!! :D

Presage Cocktail Time Negroni [SRPE41J1]

Just had to have a strap adjusted and while waiting in the jeweller's I spotted this little beauty, fresh in and on display. I know Presage are fairly simple autos - standard accuracy and 40hr reserve - but someone talk me out of buying this ... as if lol

I just love that star-burst dial and the deep Negroli red colour ... stunning! And only £400 ... (sigh).

Just received my first Citizen and am very excited ... I hope it's genuine! It seems to be a grey import but it doesn't have any obvious differences to online photos. It also arrived with the cell run down and doing 2-second ticks but after a day on the window it's ticking normally, which I guess would be hard to fake cheaply.

Anyway, just need to get the bracelet adjusted for my wrist tomorrow and it'll be my new daily :)

First post here. You can tell, I like Japanese things and this Seiko has been on my wrist for years and gone through a fair few batteries in its time. Simple, unpretentious and incredibly light but it's only just recently that I've been thinking of getting an upgrade. I'm slowly convincing myself I need a Grand Seiko though ... so someone talk me out of it ... as if! :D
