I’m starting my wedding dress shopping journey this weekend & Khya is my first appointment. While confirming my appointment, they recommended I see a multi brand retailer (Mark Ingram, Lovely bride, etc) before. Most other places don’t have availability for that day or I’d have to go by myself this week.

I’m pretty confident in my body and have an idea of which silhouettes work for me and which don’t. At the same time, I want to make the most of my appointment and be efficient.

Has anyone gone straight to a designers showroom as their first stop? Did you feel like you missed out by not doing a multi brand retailer first Would love to hear your experiences!! Tysm in advance

Interviewed a few wedding planners and felt excited about one. Had a second call after they sent over the proposal to confirm payment structure. Communication between the first email to the second call was super quick (<4 hrs).

After the second call, they didn’t send me the final contract and it’s been >24 hours. I saw they’ve been posting on their social media accounts. Did they ghost me or am I overthinking it / being impatient.

I want to be respectful to the other wedding planners I reached out to, so will painfully move forward with another one if they did ghost me :(

Need some feedback on whether I should book a full service wedding planner for a destination wedding in Portugal

Context
- multi event destination wedding
- bride and groom based in NY
- expecting 80-90 guests (all traveling from the states)

What I’ve booked so far
- venue (all inclusive venue with flexibility for external vendors) ; comes with coordinator but only manages in house vendors. They’re also have specific rules (florals are their own property and we cannot save / take our bouquets)
- photographer & content creator
- makeup & hair

I’m getting quotes 4-5k euros + VAT for full service planning & coordination for multi day events (budget 60k euros). I think it would be useful so I can shut my brain off but would like other advice from people who had a planner (even better if you booked one even after booking majority of the vendors yourself).

For any brides who got married (or are getting married) here, did you book a separate wedding planner and/or day-of coordinator? If you booked an external planner/coordinator, can you share your recommendation? If you didn’t book one, do you wish you did?

I know the venue comes with one, but it’s a bit vague what’s actually within their scope. I’m trying to figure out if I need to hire an independent one. Ty in advance!

My building has strict insurance rules and requires all workers / vendors to provide a custom COI with workers' comp.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a handyman that can mount and assemble an IKEA pax wardrobe and provide this level of insurance? Or.. should I just hire someone and bring them as a guest / friend?

I'm unable to find taskers on taskrabbit who offer COI with workers compensation. The default on task rabbit's website doesn't meet the requirements for my building. How can I go about finding one? Thank you in advance
