The Dwemer Engineer

The Dwemer Engineer is an ingenious inventor and adventurer that wields a Crossbow and other mechanical artifacts made with ancient Dwemer technology. He deploys Dwemer automatons to keep enemies occupied while he picks them off from the back line.

His greatest weakness is the slow reload speed of the crossbow, but he solves this by using the Dwemer artifact, the Visage of Mzund. Whenever he reloads, he releases a blast of steam with the Breath of Nchuak, allowing him to continue attacking during his downtime instead of standing defenseless.

Dwemer Machinery

  • Visage of Mzund
  • Aetherial Staff
  • Steadfast Dwarven Follower
  • Dwarven Crossbow
  • Dwarven Armor

Skills

  • Archery
  • Heavy Armor
  • Smithing
  • Enchanting
  • Alchemy

Combat

  • Before battle, deploy your Dwemer construct with the Aetherial Staff and let it and your Steadfast Dwarven Follower take the front line.
  • As enemies focus on your machines, fire crossbow bolts from a safe distance. The moment you begin reloading, activate the Breath of Nchuak to blast enemies with steam until the crossbow is ready to fire again.
  • Drink a fortify destruction potion if you think you will need more damage from your weapon's enchantment and Breath of Nchuak.

Progression

  • Early on, focus on getting a regular crossbow from the Dawnguard questline and recruit any follower you can.
  • Once you're strong enough, begin hunting down Dwemer artifacts and upgrading your equipment through crafting.

Smithing Tips

  • Break down Dwemer metal scraps into ingots whenever you explore Dwemer ruins. Combine them with iron ingots to craft Dwarven gear once Smithing reaches level 30.
  • Level Smithing by crafting steel bolts early on, then move on to stronger bolt types as you unlock them.
  • Loot every Dwemer automaton you destroy for crafting materials.

Enchanting Tips

  • Disenchant magical gear and recharge your crossbow regularly to level Enchanting.
  • Dwemer automatons are also a nice source of soul gems, so collect as many as possible.
  • Early on, enchant your crossbow with Absorb Stamina to sustain the Breath of Nchuak.
  • Once you unlock Extra Effect, add Fire Damage alongside Absorb Stamina on your crossbow.
  • For jewelry, use Fortify Archery and Resist Magic.
  • For armor, go with Fortify Archery, or Fortify Health and Fortify Stamina.

Alchemy Tips

Once you acquire a homestead with a working garden, start growing Nightshade and Glowing Mushrooms for Fortify Destruction potions.

These potions improve:

  • Damage from the crossbow's Fire enchantment
  • Stamina gained from Absorb Stamina
  • Damage from the Breath of Nchuak

Think of these potions as "fuel" for your Dwemer machinery, pushing both your weapon and steam attacks to its limit.

I drew my character, Tanya the Blade Dancer

Basic fashion: Cowl, tavern's clothing, boots, and dual scimitars.

Tanya is a dual wielding mage hybrid. She uses bardic knowledge to summon a spectral drum that boosts her stamina regeneration, then performs a brief dance while casting a master spell. She will cast Dragonhide to max out her armor before battle. If she is surrounded she uses a shout to become ethereal to safely cast Harmony, so she can take on enemies one at a time with her dual scimitars. Her blade technique favors spinning power attacks that strike with the beat of the drum.

I think quiet moments of reaction would help elevate the series among other things.

I think this series could benefit from adding quiet moments of reaction. For example, If the village thinks Naruto is dead, how amazing would a funeral scene have been? We can have the reactions of everyone that knew Naruto right then and there, and we can see their hatred for Boruto the "supposed killer" cooking up in real time. Plus, we get to see Himawari's reaction more importantly. It would have been cool if someone could have had a moment with her in conversation, just like how Shikamaru talked with his dad after Asuma died. Another instance, Sarada is fighting with her life on the line, and Sasuke is sealed for how long now? I would have liked to have seen Sakura's reaction. If I was in her shoes I would feel quite saddened and powerless about the situation, and I would talk with Sarada to see how she feels about all this.

I also think that Boruto inherited too many legacy & new gen side characters to not utilize them, such as Rock Lee & Metal Lee, etc. Even in OG & Shippuuden they fought alongside their mentors and peers more often, that's why we remember so many of them. They already added a solution to this problem too, with the Mamushi clones. They should keep adding weaker enemies among the strong villains so side characters are able to fight as well. This would add longevity to the series because its a good organic way to pit the old gen with the new gen teams, you could see them coaching them and collaborating with them, making way for some cool development arcs. Then you could still have your main team focus in on the strong villain. If the writer's can't handle so many characters, just add a justified reason for them not participating. For example, maybe show them evacuating injured people from destroyed buildings, or doing actual reconnaissance that will help us find new info to advance the plot, instead of just saying they are away on a mission.
