What do you think about this proposed 28th Amendment?

The Sustainable Culture Lab, a non-profit, produced what they consider a needed amendment to the constitution, a 28th Amendment: https://scl.community/28th-amendment

The proposed amendment covers human dignity, citizenship and immigration, voting and elections, socioeconomic rights (like a right to education), civil rights (like a right to privacy), and separation of powers. It's a smorgasbord of constitutional changes.

I'm sure we all agree that there is absolutely no chance that an amendment that is trying to do so much will ever become reality, but I'm curious whether you all think the country would be better off (or worse off) if we had this as a 28th amendment.

How do you deal with a supervisor that keeps giving you petty tasks?

I'm in a generally toxic situation with my supervisor, but I'll skip the big issues and focus on one dimension that I struggle with: she keeps giving me lots of petty tasks that waste time on top of everything else.

Currently, my supervisor is organizing a reflective workshop between her, me, and five student assistants. I can tolerate the unnecessarily long 7 hours she has planned, but she now wants me to "provide all the materials, snacks, and water" for the workshop.

I get this complaint sounds petty, but it's one example of a general pattern. Every little task she drops on my shoulders. Ensuring the students submit their time sheets? Instead of the secretary (whose job it is) doing it, she has me manage things. Someone needs a reimbursement? She sends them to me. Why me? "Because you're so capable" is what she tells me. These are the demands that I don't have a good sense on how to push back on. Each small one seems trivial, but all of these petty thing add up to a real amount of time. In her eyes, my time is hers to waste.

Any suggestions on what to do? Just grin and bear it?

In the California gubernatorial race, why has Hilton pulled ahead of Bianco?

In mid-April, both conservatives, Hilton and Bianco, were polling well. However, now, Hilton has pulled well ahead of Bianco (26% vs. 9%).

For those that know about the race, is this primarily due to substance or primarily due to strategic voting to coalesce around a single conservative?

Do you believe the Iranian government is a "death cult"?

There was a disconnect between my understanding of Iran and some DC-based commentators. I tried to look into it, and I discovered this whole "death cult" believe.

The death cult belief is, in short, that the Iranian government is composed of radicals that want a nuclear weapon to purposely start a nuclear war. Starting a nuclear war would then fulfill the prophecy for the return of their messiah. Here is a video from Fox News that describes this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiL25kyTQqc

Here is my issue: the only sources I hear for this idea are Westerners who don't have a personal or cultural background with Iran. Moreover, the evidence for this belief tends to be a few cherry-picked statements that are very likely read out of context. I remember similar bad faith interpretations of Islam in general happening after 2001.

Question: do you believe this death cult theory? If so, what is the evidence that convinces you?

To be clear, I'm not excusing the Iran government for their horrible human rights abuses, including the summary execution of up to 35,000 civilians in January. That brutal behavior is horrific, but it's still not the same as the "death cult" idea I'm asking about. The "death cult" theory would make Iran even less reasonable than North Korea, which I simply don't see based on evidence of how those governments engage with their people and with other countries.
