When the car shifted from gears 1-3 it would do so by making the car jerk aggressively like my body would lurch forward so hard and it would upshift so early and a huge hesitation before it shifts so I did the 3x drain and fill as well as a transmission software update and it tamed everything down and it shifts at all the right moments except for a hesitation from gear 1-2 or 2-3, but it still has problems. From gears 1-3 the shifts went from jerking aggresively to simply noticeable shifts like I very slightly lurch forward when it used to be a hard jerk before the 3x drain and fill. Also, the car is so jumpy when you toe the gas pedal and when you give it some gas, there is a hesitation and then it unleashes too much power. for example it goes, vrooVROOOOOOOOOOMMMMM and this is only 1-3 gear. Overall the transmission just feel unlike any car I drive like its soo uptight and jerky and tense. It also downshifts pretty early and its super noticeable. the gas pedal is soooo sensitive too and the brake pedal makes you aggresively lurch forward so you really have to baby it to prevent that from happening. I also cant help that my lower back tends to vibrate a lil bit...maybe its got something to do with my struts. Please help! Could use advice!
I just performed the transmission drain and fill on my 13 lexus es350. Put it up on 4 Jack stands and made sure it was level and left it overnight. The next day I went ahead and drained it and only 1.5 quarts came out. I then proceeded to add an extra .5 according to care care nut making it 2 quarts all together. Used the official fluid check procedure with the 4 and 13 port in obd port, waited until solid d came on, but what ended up happening was that fluid was trickling from the start. What happened? Is the fluid underfilled? Perfect level?
I used the correct method for checking the transmission dipstick level. Drove the car for 15-20 minutes, turned off the engine, within the 60-90 second range I ended up taking out the dipstick and wiping it clean on a rag then reinserted and got this level.
