QMTech 24bit colour over VGA

Hi all,

I am in the process of building my QMTech into a blast city arcade cabinet.

I intend to use the VGA output as the cab has a VGA input on the monitor chassis.

I've read that QMTech's IO is the older style that supports 18 bit colour over VGA.

  1. What cores actually use full 24 bit video? So far seems like PSX and N64.

  2. Has QMTech released an updated IO board with 24 bit colour over VGA?

I7 875 and Asus M3E Maximus III Extreme

I bought an old Lian Li case and it came with an i7 875 and a Asus Maximus III Extreme.

Are these parts worth trying to pass on to an XP Gaming enthusiast?

Looking for male mini-din 9 pin connector

Hi all,

Trying to build some cables for my Sega Genesis 2 which uses a standard Mini-din 9 connector.

I can only find this connector on digikey:

https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/adam-tech/MDP-009/10222604?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23158240004&gbraid=0AAAAADrbLlio5k4sPwoCSXvKB4Lo_i686&gclid=CjwKCAjwwpDQBhAuEiwAa-4Wo0TLHljA1JfnZNExPNTx6PfyXhjfoWYYS7ocqAHxf99rQP9iNlJFfRoCvucQAvD_BwE

But its ground shell/ring is an extremely tight fit, and it has no cable crimp to help strain relief the cable.

I've found some other sources but from looking at the photos they all seem to be essentially the same connector as the one digikey is selling.

Any advice?
