1. How is the sports scene? Do ppl play cricket/football regularly? The team plays against who exactly? and is BoSM taken srsly lol?

2. How true is the 0% attendance thing in the mentioned branches? Like practically can one survive with say a 20-30% type attendance and self study, in the mentioned branches?

3. can anyone pls explain why everyone says grading in bitsp is bad?

4. How is the CP scene??? Is BITS P declining in CP? (saw this on reddit like 2 months ago, please correct me if im wrong) Is it rlly hard to find a good team for ICPC and stuff? Are there ppl who do iicpc codefest/quantfest too, if yes is it doable to manage all that with a good CG in first and second yrs considering most cp ppl start then only...

5. Is PS actually useful? afaik PS1 is utter woke nonsense but most ppl get ppos through ps2.. is this true? do the nicer offers usually come through ps2?

6. How many people get Summer internships thru college? is it the ultra pro max ppl only (like in a branch at iitkgp only 8/9 ppl of the whole batch get them or smth)

7. Is an MBA abroad after BE at BITS unheard of? obv after like 2-3 yrs of work (itna paisa kidhar se lau)..

8. is that 36 lpa median 1st yr tc figure for bits p cs inflated or are other clg ppl coping on that r/ btechtards placement vala post?

title, (didnt post a poll, coz there are many larpers)

so currently i hv iiith cs (4yr ug) as well as bitsP mnc with a high chance of cs in next rounds (1 mark below the current cutoff for cs)

the thing is i like the mnc syllabus a lot. bits as a college is also much more appealing to me, much better college life, fests, clubs, etc.

but i genuinely like to code and solve problems.. (have done python and cpp like a lot {i dont know how to quantify it but yeah} like regularly since 7th grade).. so the whole cs-focused scene at iiith doesnt scare me much, but the sports scene is much weaker(which i do value, kirkit khelna hai guys [state-level player btw but lets stop the self glaze])

the placements are upar neeche too so cant really use that as a factor

i probably wont go in research ahead (never say never, but yeah)..
i probably will also do an mba later on (after 2-3 yrs of life exp)

look the stuff is complicated. today is 4th july, i have until 7th july to accept the iiith seat, but the twist is they require an offer letter from a college which is dated after their last offer, i.e. 3rd july for me to get almost full refund of 2.5L. but the next bits round happens on 14th july. So i have 3 options:
a) leave iiith cs seat, wait in bits for further rounds
b) accept iiith cs and leave bits
c) wait till 14th for possibly upgradation to bits cse, and then decide, but lose the 2.5L

prefer not to use c (thanks for reading allthis)

And have mnc in pilani (missed cs by 1 mark, so possibly could get it in next iterations..)

I am quite interested in both mnc and cs syllabi..

Ill choose pilani cs(if i get) over iiith cs clearly coz of better clg life, no rqd attendance and stuff..

Not sure abt mnc tho as its new branch and stuff..

The thing with iiith refund is they need to get an offer letter which is dated after today to get a substantial refund, otherwise kuch nhi milega..

Should I leave iiith today or possibly burn 2.5L to have both bits and iiith offers?

Okay so i have read posts regarding the same matter from three years ago..
everyone says take goa cs coz of better college life as well as similar placements and the fact that iiitb gives a 5yr program

but now iiitb has a 4 yr btech program, as well as crazy placements (41 lpa median ctc) this year for imtech (as no btech batch has graduated)

waiting for further iterations in bits for upgradation.. iiitb has the last date of accepting seats as today.. should i pay or not (they have good refund scheme)
