Hey everyone. I haven't used pencils since middle school because we were required to use pen in highschool even in math and so on and it just became a habit. But I've always thought mechanical pencils just seemed really cool.

I'm really into fountain pens and rollerballs and write with very little pressure. I also mostly write in cursive so long flowing lines. I have a Kuro Toga in 0.5 and one in 0.7 but find that the line I get with the standard lead is very light. I'm looking for a smoother and darker line if possible.

I bought some Uni 4B 0.5 lead to try. Is that a good idea? I'm guessing that 0.7 will typically also be smoother but I couldn't find the Uni 2B 0.7 on Amazon for cheap just to try.

Any other suggestions on lead or any mechanical pencils that you would recommend? Thanks!
