I’ve tried different mowers, and I’ve learned that smart doesn't matter if the motor is not up to par
I've used a few different robots now, and idealy, I wanted to just leave them be instead of watching over them whenever they work. That was ultimately what I had hoped for so I can run off and do errands, or even drink my coffee in peace.
But the truth is, the Luba powers through tall grass fine, but its super heavy. If the yard is even a little damp or uneven, those wheels just dig trenches. So I need to monitor it so it doesnt do any sharp turns which make the situation worse. I run into a similar situation with my Worx, though it is slightly better.
Yarbo is my third attempt. I know it is a bit excessive, but I am really trying to automate the lawnmowing, since it is definetly not on my list of favorite chores to do. I still find myself watching it just to make sure it doesnt do something silly, and Im realizing that the power of the motor matters.
This 2*300W motor sets it apart and make it an actual industrial tool. With the motor, it can chew through denser patches without the blade getting stuck, showing an error message which I had gotten every so often.
Obviously, its not a magic fix for everything, and you still have to manage its path, and it is still a bit difficult to clean especialy after mowing on wet days. Having that actual power overhead makes a big difference in whether your fixing it mid-route every single time or every now and then.
