Symbiote: A Space Opera - scifi/horror novel told from the POV of alien species surviving against an oppressive, expansionist humanity

My scifi/horror novel Symbiote is out now on Amazon! If you'd like to pick up a copy, you can find them here.

https://a.co/d/0auF7eXk

Cover artwork by Natalie de Corsair, all creature designs by me. Here's the synopsis!

A vengeful and clever warrior, bathed in the blood of her blade; a blade fashioned by her own hand, that whispers and taunts her from within. A monk of the Lady, Warden of the Archae, with a right arm that can warp and twist the very fabric of reality itself. An aged and massive titan of a woman, clad in layers upon layers of shielded armor, eternally masked and tormented by her choices.

Together, they rise up beneath an oppressive human presence that reaches across the whole of the galaxy. Humanity acts as if their footprint means dominion, that any place they touch is theirs and theirs alone. Can the people break free of the chains of contempt? Can the warrior find the strength in herself to conquer the darkest parts of her own mind? All will be answered within, in Symbiote: A Space Opera.

New to GOS, can't get TikTok to work

So I'm trying to get TikTok to work. I'm downloading it from the play store. When it downloads and I open it, it opens to the login screen. I tap login and the app freezes and won't do anything until I force stop/clear data. Then it just does the same thing.

I've tried several things, such as the compatability toggle, and also disabling secure app spawning temporarily. Nothing is working. Is anyone else currently having or has had this issue in the past and has a fix, or at least any ideas I can try? I greatly appreciate any help.

Carapar gets the upper hand

Just getting back into practice with my camera before starting to do some stop motion.

In a rare moment of strategic thinking, Carapar disengaged and pulled back into the murky depths. Fenrakk hissed as it lost sight of him, and Vezon strained against the voice of the Ignika as it whispered within his thoughts.

After a moment, some rubble from the vaulted ridge above them burst toward him and he briefly struggled to retain his mount. When he focused back toward the Barraki, his eyes were met with the gnashing teeth of an accursed parasite, its wielder's dully glowing eyes gleaming with malice as he focused in to fire.

Newest edition to the family: The Tarot Protector

My first titan set since I started collecting again. Getting to share the experience of building these guys with my wife is like PEAK romance. She and I both thought that the way they did the jaw on Fenrakk is super clever and will be great for "death poses" and chewing when I start up on the stop motion again.

I think the strat rn is to grab Axonn and Brutaka as my next two so I can fulfill my lifelong dream of owning a Kardas dragon.

Oh my god DAY MADE

We have a massive famous local bookstore here and my friend saw this and got it for me!!!! Ahhh I'm so excited the nostalgia is making me bounce off the walls lol

Finally getting started :)

Had to sell my massive collection when I was 17, in 2010, because of looming houselessness. I finally, finally got to a point of financial and quality of life that I can start to get it back. Today, these guys got here!

The Barraki are probably my favorite villain designs in all of G1. I love how unique they all are from each other, and how many new molds they used. I was able to get some with canisters and instructions, and my wife (who knows I'm nostalgic af for Bionicle but didn't grow up with them herself) got to dump one out of the canister and build one with me like I did as a kid! It was really sweet.

Def going to use them for art refs in the future so keep an eye out for that; I'm so excited to post as I build back up to what I lost!

I finally did it! I'm finally happy with it!

After years and years of writes and rewrites, I've finally published the story that's been living in my head for most of my life. Here's a brief synopsis and where you can grab a copy!

Currently, I'm not on KDP as I have a very famous local bookstore here that doesn't consider KDP authors as a way of not supporting Amazon. Because of that, it's currently released on B&N. If you choose to check it out, I hope you enjoy the journey! And please do leave me a review once you're done reading as it definitely helps my visibility!

So I'm not *currently* looking to buy, but more getting a ballpark of what my savings goal should be.

I'm looking for a realistic, femme-looking (slimmed down) lynx head, doesn't need to be custom/can be pre-made. My max budget would probably be around 1500, but anything in the 1k-1500 range would be perfect. Is that a realistic amount to pay for a well-made one? I would also prefer to support indie crafters and not cheap, mass-produced stuff.

Open to any suggestions for a crafter whose work fits the style I'm after.

Hey all,

After years of work, my first novel is about to come out! (I'm self-publishing, so in the next month or two after I purchase an ISBN and finish my final couple editing passes). It's an original universe with several alien species I designed. I recently got my cover from the artist I commissioned and I'm very happy with it. She incorporated all of the concept art and designs I've made and helped me put them together in a cohesive way.

Here's the synopsis:

Hoping to get a little hype going and gauge interest. If you'd read it, let me know in a comment, I'll save it and send you a message once it's actually released!
